I've been searching through the forums for a post about downgrading my OS from 10.2.0.1791 to 10.2.0
1761 but it's harder to find the right thread on the CB10 app. 10.2.0.1791 is laggy especially with the keyboard and personally .1761 feels better overall.

I also saw Singapore released .1761 as the official OS.

So if someone can point me in the right direction regarding which thread I should visit or just tell me how to do it below.

    Thanks

You can backup with link and restore apps and media only... not settings. The apps may or may not restore properly. You just have to try. You can always reload the higher os again and restore back to that one if it doesn't work for you.

Do a security wipe immediately upon loading any leak to clean up any fragments of files left behind. (takes about 20-25 minutes) It helps to have a smooth running phone.

Sachesi will also restore a backup to a lower OS. (Within the same OS family). I used it to regress from .1791 to .1761, with no issues.

Yes, Sachesi is handy. I should also mention that it allows you to side-load without putting your device into development mode. Handy.

I've had trouble using Sachesi. It doesn't see my phone via the usb connection. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using a Z10 on ATT in the US.

There's a couple of things to make sure of...
    • make sure BB Link isn't running -- it will interfere. Safest is to ensure BB Link isn't set to auto start with Windows, then reboot and try it again.
    • try the usb cable in another usb port
    • try another usb cable
    • start Sachesi, then connect your device.
