    Dear users,

Does the 10.3 support more than three input languages, please?

This limitation on Z10STL100-2/10.2.1.3247 is killing me.

    Cheers,

Unfortunately the so called limitation is still present on the 10.3.0.700 leak. I'm however stunned that you can have 3 input languages at once. This is one of the main reasons why I prefer this operating system. I'm curious about why you need even more seems like you have a multicultural family or something

Exactly: a colorful multilingual environment. Work, friends, family. Five active languages.

To make use of the superb BlackBerry predictive keyboard, I'm selecting three most used work languages in the morning and three most used "social" languages on my way home almost regularly.

I'm close to hate BlackBerry for this strict limitation and go back to Android.

The BlackBerry has 30+ available input languages. But allows only 3 to choose - well, 2 (two), because English is always selected. There is also an option to allow automatic language switching, but that has no effect on the above limitation. How is this "Enterprise" friendly?

There are multiple discussions about it, one of those here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/...es/m-p/2353899

It is irrelevant, which input languages I use, but to soothe the curiosity, here you go: English, German, Hungarian, Czech and Slovak. And I'm lucky yet - I can use one keyboard for all of them, if in hurry for a quick reply. Those, who use languages needing different keyboard layout, e.g. Cyrillic, East-Asian and Latin, are the poorest here.

Apropos, one keyboard: I can use one keyboard for all of my input languages to write quick and dirty messages (no diacritics). But then I have to teach the device some incorrect words due to the missing space bar.

I've tried 3 languages at the same time. Currently using 2, because I found that sometimes languages mix up in the prediction. I don't think it would be that comfortable to have 5 or even more.
Especially short texts are much harder with more than one language.

I wish they deal with this limitation. The keyboard's prediction is very useful for multi-linguists. In my case, I use 4 languages (English, Filipino/Tagalog, Handwritten Chinese and Japanese).

I, too, am annoyed about the three input language limit. The English keyboard is fine for English, Spanish, German, and French, since they all use the Latin alphabet. It is easy to type accented characters. I usually have Arabic and Russian selected, in addition to English. I hate having to go into the settings to select Korean or Japanese, when I need them. This is one thing that I miss about my Bold 9900.

I'd be happy to pick the language from the quick menu (the globe next to the space bar) and so, enjoy auto-recognition only, when I select three or less languages. The selection through the main settings is cumbersome (scrolling, deselecting, scrolling back, selecting, confirming and waiting; then picking the last opened application again, because the focus was lost).

Yeah this limitation is killing me too!!! On my BB Bold 9900, I had simplified chinese pinyin, traditional pinyin, stroke input, Japanese, Korean, German, French, English and Spanish installed. I don't know why they would all of a sudden limit it to 3!!! Is it for the monolingual executive?

Can you please make a screenshot of the language list? I've rebooted a couple of times already and cannot get more than three languages selected.

I tried to select the same languages, but I failed. I selected the language of Bahasa Indonesia:

Then after choosing one of the Asian (Chinese?) languages, the selection has been locked

(note the different grey for check-boxes) and I wasn't able to select more languages. So, what difference could be between our two devices, please?

I could load other Asian languages. They appeared at the bottom of the list.

So, why cannot I choose similarly some other Latin-alphabet based languages?!
