I just installed the 1443 leak (coming from 10.1) and I noticed a difference with the animations of opening and closing apps - seemed faster. One thing that still plagues the phone is that when you pull up the keyboard, or even open a text and it loads the messages sliding down from the top, it still lags/stutters. For people who have installed leak after leak, have you noticed a speed increase regarding performance? I'm wondering if the animation speed will be addressed with later leaks.. What do you guys think?

I don't see the lag you describe. But yes I have noticed significant increases in speed from the beginning to now

When I open a text message that has a lot of messages, the animation is that the messages scroll down from the top to fill up the conversation window.. when they scroll down/open the animation is kind of jaggy..

Everything seems to get smoother and faster except for a few 10.1 sideloaded apps that do not work at all for me in 10.2. One of them being a favorite, Leo's RC Simulator. It's a little airplane that takes off, lands and can be adjusted to view in a few different environments. You can adjust other things too such as ailerons and power. You can also go to an online repository and get jets, older planes and some antique ones too. It does however still work on my Playbook even after todays update to 2.1.0.1753 os.

    No

10.2 is actually slower than the latest 10.1 leak. Of course it has more running in the background and is more likely to still have a few bugs.

Most of the 10.1 leaks were a progressing to a better OS. But 10.2 was like starting over again, I've lost a few features and have to deal more with a device that runs a little slower or that needs to be rebooted more often (get stuck in frames at times and won't let me close them). But I can see where 10.2 is going to give users a MUCH better experience once we have a more official and "bug free" device.

Wow not my experience at all. Are you running the latest leak versions? I find 1443 very smooth with no delay at all. I use about half the memory to 1.3 leaving about 700 free.

I've especially noticed a much more fluid and snappy OS in 10.2.0.1443

I've noticed a difference after doing a security wipe and not restoring application data. A bit faster and battery is a bit better. Z10STL100-3/10.2.0.1047

.1443 is great. Very fast and smooth. Skype is not opening and Evernote also is trying to update to a new version which is not available for BB10 but the rest is great. I don't even know what else they can tweak to make it faster . If they will fix the bugs to be able to open the two apps I can leave happy with my Q10 for a year with this OS.
