    kHi Darcy,

i tried to extract/split the cpf.exe with your tool from an autoloader.
It worked fine, but the extracted .exe is allways 8byte smaller than the packed one.
I compared the extract with the bundled cpf (hex) and at the end some dots are truncated, but extract is still working...
There's always some extras at the end of a cap.exe. Like if you made a loader with cap create then there's a watermark entered with what looked to be an encoded timestamp and possibly computer name, those are ignored by dbbt and sachesi, and they're not needed in there to actually run the loader either. So there's a lot of room to play with there and an 8 byte difference shouldn't hurt anything.

I'll look into it though and see if I can make the results more consistent though.

Those 8 bytes were not important, however they should now be fixed in 2.2.0.1 which I've just uploaded.

When investigating this though I also found a different bug with the same CAP extraction which I also fixed.

I should just give you a copy a day before everyone else and you can find all bugs for me. Fixed in 2.2.0.2 which is now up.

For Windows computers only, no Mac or Linux support because it's programmed in C#.
Perhaps we had better have a link to this thread in the old thread http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...-tools-824364/, I suppose.

thanks. Very powerful and improved too. We are almost going ahead for more n more convenience to users for updating OS. Autoloaders are very trouble some process. Wanted to avoid reconfiguring emails and backup restore process every time when we upgrade OS.

    2.2.0.3 has now been released

It should fix a reported issue where Extract Bar file would cause the app to not respond. This was due to the extraction running on the same thread as the user interface which caused it to not respond. At the same time I've added some more useful status messages while extracting so you can see that something is actually happening.

hi friend, thanks for the wonderful job.
    I'm running Win7 Pro, 64bit, Net 4.5.1 installed.

when creating Autoloader ROM from the OS signed+Radio signed (ATT 10.2.1.3337) using 2.2.0.2 as well as 2.2.0.3 resulting faulty ROM, the autoloader will run but will fail and will not flash.

Using previous versions will be OK, including the stable 1.9.0.4

Does it work just using the copy of cap bundled in?

    2.2.0.5

Just added Alpha and Alpha2 servers for SW release lookups. I wasn't going to do a release just for that, but since Sacha just added them to Sachesi I figured I'd better do a release too.

V2.2.9 beta released. This is a lot of changes for the 10.3.1 autoloaders. It's likely still buggy, so please let me know any issues.

Found a bug. Trying to extract com.rim.bb.app.GLBenchmark25-1.0.0.7 from the STL100-1 leak causes the program to crash.

I'll download the STL100-1 and test it since I don't think that app exists in the STL100-3 which is what I worked on initially

It doesn't, there's about 30 apps in the STL100-1 dev os that aren't in the other ones.

Found it. It actually was in GLBenchmark30 where the problem was, and it was related to the number of files in one directory being rather large. 4300 or so... much higher than the 2048 I had accounted for. Fortunately very very easy to fix once I figured it out.

In some circumstances an autoloader can contain a Core OS signed file. It's not very common though.

In most cases you're talking about an autoloader with a debrick signed file.

They're 2 separate files no matter how you look at it though. There's no conversion from debrick to core, even though core is included in the debrick.

Now to complicate things even further. if you have a debrick in BAR format (you can go from BAR to signed, but not Signed to BAR), you can sideload it and it acts the same as the core OS. But only in the case of sideloading. But if all you're given are autoloaders (like 10.3.1.632) you'll never get the BAR files anyway so this isn't possible.

    Yeah, that's what I thought I remembered.

The obvious reason is that if you have core + apps + radio you can non-destructively load.
