Liking 1055 but a newer leak is almost always a great thing. Only twice have I had to go back to a previous build.

Would love a new leak before my z10 arrives. Could load it up with that and try it for the 1st time.

Alec Saunders has confirmed if they find out who leaked the OS they will loose their job. So it's understandable that it has slowed down.

    True? So sad for BBers.

.....I can't imagine that security at blackberry would be so bad as to allow unsanctioned leaks

    .
It doesn't have to be "so bad" to have leaks happen but it has to be perfect to stop them.

If it were not for 1055, my wife and my mom-in-law would have gone S4 for the next two years. Wake up, Saunders. Leaks are one of the reasons why BlackBerry has such a cult following. @gyubok instigating...WTF dude?

All OS produces leaks (which is just a beta that's been given to trusted individuals, who then see it fit to release publicly).

Leaks don't represent a flaw in BlackBerry security, as the leaks are not taken directly from a BlackBerry server by an unauthorised / outside / average Joe. The leak is. Initially "given" to a trusted user group / individual.

@_HaTaX_ @dkonigs I hear you both. I'd like to see us have a more open beta process. Much negotiation with our carrier partners required.

I certainly wouldn't expect him to say anything other than this. Does this mean anything has changed? Probably not.

Corporately, there are things that are said and done publicly, and then there are things that are said and done privately. Given the tenuous relationship between BlackBerry and carriers, particularly in the US, they certainly couldn't say anything publicly remotely condoning or sanctioning leaks.

Therefore, nothing to see here...move along to the next thread.

Did I not read an interview somewhere recently by one of the BlackBerry guys who said actually leaks are good?

But I doubt it will be sensible in BlackBerry 's part to make it official. Questions if liability.... if it is unofficial it means any screw ups,it is your own fault.

But again, it will be sensible for BlackBerry to leak some files especially when they know carriers are slow in updating. As long as those leaks will not result in competitors stealing their ideas etc.

BBRY doesn't need leaks to satisfy customers on slow carriers since official releases to other carriers are easily gotten a hold of and installed.

A leak would be nice , with the play store. Only way I would be interested. The 1055, no bugs leak, has no bugs at allll on my Tmobile 100-3 Z10.

My Z30 running 1055 is basically the perfect super phone. Guys at work who use Galaxy S4 or iPhone 4s, are jealous of my Z30. The sound quality, intuitive user interface, smoothness of the OS, speed of game play. They are all impressed. And when I fire up Real Racing 3 and let them run a couple laps, they all say it's the best gaming experience they have seen on a cellphone.

Any glitches I found in 1055 have been fixed with simple procedures. I am not in a rush to upgrade again. Probably won't until something official passes the 10.2.1.1055 mark.
