I don't use BBM so rather than having it running in the background and using CPU/memory as evidenced in the Device Monitor, I just want to delete it. I've had it removed since 1047 was released but then my phone crashed the other night and now I'm wondering? Its so tightly woven into other BB apps, I'm wondering if there are too many dependencies???

I never ran it in OS 7.1 and there was never a problem...not sure of 10.2 though.

    Thanks.

I recall bringing up the icons to remove some apps, but BBM did not have the trash can to delete it. I'm not so sure you can remove it.

I gotta say it's odd though, No BBM on your BlackBerry, is like No Email on your BlackBerry.

You remove it with Darcy's tools and Chrome. Every one I know has left BB.

I think you should be able to do it with chrome. Reinstall it first , then you will be able to uninstall it. if you got issues after that, just reinstall it again

I've removed the android player in this way.

I can only speak for myself: quite nice piece of hardware but with nasty software. That's why the people want to get rid of the unneeded aps, I suppose.

One comment, several apps seem to rely on BBM in some capacity. Also, I have never found my BlackBerry running short on processor / ram. I would sacrifice something else first if I had to.

If you don't liked BBM don't need unload, hit parents control and off mode. The BBM will not shown on screen.
