Hi download this 3 files, put in build Autoloader using D'Arcy tool

unfortunately this didn't work. I built the autoloader and it seemed to install ok but the red blinking light continues. Is there any particular order the 3 files need to go into DBBT?

You only need to download debrick and radio to create autoloader.

They also need to be unpacked; if they're ZIP or 7z files you need to first extract them.

Sorry to derail for a second, are you sure they need 8960 debrick?

Iirc, they *should* be able to build a nondestructive autoloader using just the passport core and radio.

Aha, you're right you can also build Autoloader using core and Radio too

And for the 8960 Debrick reason is because passport Debrick not in the wild yet

In this case this should work. But the order of the files is important.

8960 debrick first, then the passport core.

    radio doesn't matter

Also, if the upgrade failed and never fully booted the block list may not have been loaded yet, so trying an earlier 10.3.2 loader wouldn't hurt.

Darcy it was me that did this, so I just got lucky in the way that I put it in your app, and also your saying I didn't need the radio.

I meant more that the order of the radio doesn't matter, it could be first, 2nd, or 3rd. But the order of the debrick/core was definately important. Since the debrick contains the core you want to write the 8960 one first, then the passport core overwrites that leaving you with the proper OS, going the other way means the passport core is written first, then the 8960 core overwrites it leaving you a brick.

    Shouldn't it be 8974 debrick?

Technically yes, but the 8974 core on top of the 8960 debrick does effectively the same thing if done properly. Not ideal, but it works.

Btw, device wasn't bricked. Bricked is when you can't recover it, as long as you have blinking red light it can be.

Your thread is one of the reasons I always wait to load leaks and read the findings and fixes first. Sorry for your troubles, glad you got your Passport back and with some help from the elite of the BB world, lol.

Yup which is exactly what I've been doing here since 2009. First time I've not been able to recover the device. Thank goodness for the pros in this forum to bail us out.

Man, you're insane! It's always amazing and nice to read your comments. You saved this guy's phone! What a great community member (among a lot others of course). I know this comment doesn't add anything, but just wanted to thank you for all the help you bring to this forum. Keep it up.

Random, but close to the subject matter at hand. Does this recovery method work for the Z10 that has suffered the solid red light and won't turn on? I have two Z10 devices that don't work because of the solid red light, or are they bricked for life? Some have told me it is a hardware (motherboard) problem.

thanks for the info in advance.

    Very good news!
But it would be better and more completely, if you can explain step by step how did you do to solve your problem, including files that you used in the process.
    Greetings.
