I'd go with 1881/2354 setup. Still, as Kris has pointed out over and over, you milage may vary. Try different radios.

My results w 1881/2354 on AT&T LTE. The wi-fi was off.

I don't know why it doesn't say AT&T. Is AT&T contracting out to someone?

Just updated to .2354 with .1917 radio file. For some reason the radio file with .2354 was keeping the back warm.

You'll also have a better battery life with .2354/.1917 combo.

    Predominantly Verizon. Wasn't 1720 a Verizon release?

Loaded 1881 radio, bricked my phone, should have left it on 2355

Is it correct to assume that the 2355 radio file came with the OS 10.1.0.2354? if not, which radio file came with OS 10.1.0.2354?

Using 2354/1881, a couple people have told me my voice sounds muffled with loss of consonants, both when using the built in phone mic and a Bluetooth headset. We are all on AT&T. I've tried switching phones with one of them and I agree that there is some muffling from my phone. The other two have non- BlackBerry phones.

Does this sound like an internal Z10 hardware issue (not the mic itself since it's the same with Bluetooth), or a radio file issue?

I'm thinking of auto loading 2355 but am concerned about the heat and battery life with that radio. (I guess I could always reload 1881.)

    Any thoughts?

Could be a radio issue, I'd try another radio file, make it easier to determine if it's software or hardware

I autoloaded 2355 (without difficulty) and left a voicemail message for myself on my landline. Unfortunately, it still does sound muffled, as if all the high frequencies are missing. I can hear what people mean by this.

Is this a known problem with the Z10? I can get a new Z10, well, refurbished, from Best Buy through the protection plan I got when I purchased the phone--takes two trips to Best Buy. I don't think they'll care which OS I'm using, because this plan covers physical damage, as well.

Yup I'd suggest a replacement than as it might be a actual microphone issue

    Follow up :

Doubt mic issue because it was the same with Bluetooth headset, and also I did a voice recording on the phone and it was fine.

So I went to BestBuy Geek squad and three of us made cell to cell calls. One of the guys was on Sprint, the other on AT&T like me. No real clarity problems with any of the phones, although it was somewhat better Sprint to AT&T than AT&T to AT&T. Could have been due to the phone of the Sprint guy, too.

They recommended against swapping out the phone and think it's a network issue, if there even is an issue.

Meanwhile, the 2355 radio with the 2354 OS is working out OK so far.
