A lot of people have been posting up good results with the 1880 radio. It really is a trial and error type attempt however as it seems all devices act differently on what's loaded

Kris, why do you figure there's such a need to finagle the radio on this leak ad opposed to previous leaked versions ??

I had first downloaded the 19xx radio the Guru curve was not to bad but when I installed the 1880 radio I got some connection interruption, Facebook, Instagram even after reboot and the curve was weird and I went back to 19xx radio. The battery drain enhancement is immediate right ?or I would have to wait?

Did anyone noticed that Skype voice calls and videos calls don't work anymore from the higher version than 10.0.1.1880 leak?

    Thanks

All personal preference really, some OS's may just play better with certain radio files

I'm running 2342OS with 2337Radio. I would suggest you turn off LTE. Unless you plan on streaming movies, playing online games or downloading large files, there really isn't any need for LTE

Tried the 1721, then the 1881 and both are eating up my battery. Going to try a security wipe before I move on to 1917. If I still get no joy, I'll have to start from scratch and redo the entire 2342.

Kris how come there are no people out there trying this stuff with the Q10. I have the same problem with dropping LTE all the time. So I have done what you suggested and went to HSPA to see how much of a diff I notice. When I called Telus in Calgary today he said that the coverage for LTE is not that good and it will drop in and out all the time but I didn't notice it when I was using my Z10.

Depends on the bands covered by each device and what the networks carry

The radio file from .2009 runs so smooth on my Z10 running the .2342 leak. My phone doesn't lag at all. Is like zoom here and zoom there.

Is there a copy of the radio from the 1756 build for the STL-004 around (radio ver. 10.1.0.1757)?

Best "hybrid" set up that I had was 2009 OS with 2342 radio. 2342 was massively unstable for me and sucked battery like crazy; I was actually almost able to crash it on command.

The new rev however (2354/2355) has been both stable and fast so far. And what's even better is that I can now directly reference Box and Dropbox files from Android (and native) applications (!!)

I just found a program called "Signal" in BBW. It's free and displays all sorts of handy information. I also enjoy one called "System Information" ... also free. Not quite like having an actual shell, but netstat can be informative. It helped me sort out an issue with Link and my overly complicated firewall at home.

I only mention these here (and not in the software sub) because they are relevant to radio files, and network connectivity.

On my old BlackBerry I had a program that located and mapped out towers; you could examine any saved or currently connected tower and it would give you a wealth of information about it. I think it was called SignalLoc.

I could use something like that now to discover if my phone is just in love with a crappy tower when at home, or why the 1917 radio from 10.1.0.2009 just stinks compared to the one that came with 1756. Everyone else seems to be loving 2009 (or at least its radio files). :/

I have an unlocked Rogers -3, using it on US T-Mobile.

After I used my Rogers sim card to update to 10.1, the Z10 would try to hook up to AT&T occasionally, at which time I had no service. My settings are 4g-3g-2g, not LTE. To clarify, this is with my T-Mobile sim card reinserted after the update.

So, today I just did a clean install of .2342. It's my first leaked OS installation.

Now, after the install of .2342 and accompanying radio file, it happened again. So, my question is (finally), which is the best radio file for T-Mobile in the US using a Rogers 100-3 Z10? I'd like to avoid the sporadic attempts to use AT&T by my phone when T-Mobile is readily available. Any advice or suggestions?
