I saw a "tip" in the new Password Keeper suggesting a new blackberry wallet app. Anyone know anything about this? We have NFC but very little to do with it. I used to keep a paypass chip in the backdoor of my Q10, i loved having a swipe to pay phone but with the Classic i have not had the balls to crack the phone to see if i can squeeze a paypass chip in there. Anyone have a swipe to pay solution that works in the US on a classic or passport?

Is this what the tip was referring to? I can't find any mention of it in Password Keeper, but this has been around since 2009 - and doesn't seem to be available for BB10 devices.

BlackBerry could be working on an NFC - powered digital wallet app - and I'd be the first to adopt it - but somehow I don't see them usurping the name of another BlackBerry app for it.

Could be a major update. They keep the name and redesign it and bring it to BB10?

There has been unfinished code for a Blackberry Passholder app In the OS for a while now, maybe they're moving ahead with it.

There is a spot in password keeper that you can import backup files from old password keeper, new password keeper or BlackBerry wallet. I'm guessing that's what you are referring to?

Nope. I saw it too in PWK but can't prove it as it's a tip and I closed it. I thought it was a typo and the dev meant PWK and not wallet. If it shows again I'll snip it.

That is a BBOS app. Scroll down to the bottom and you see it is dated 2009.

It looks like it is just support for the Wallet from the older OS

I highly doubt that BlackBerry would have their own "wallet" service soon. They'll need to strike a deal with Mastercard and/or Visa in order to use their payment system. The other way around would be a brand new payment system from ground up... but even Apple didn't do that

This seemed to be something new for OS10, not the wallet import dialogue but something like a mobile payments app. Maybe tied to the work they did in Indonesia or hopefully some kind of nfc google wallet type of application would be nice.

This tip refers to the ability to import BlackBerry wallet credentials from BB7 based devices into BB10 password keeper. BlackBerry wallet is a downloadable application on BB7 that is very similar to Password Keeper.

Seems like the old wallet is correct, i finally saw this same import from Wallet tip again, which many of you have pointed out,...oh well, it would have been nice to have an NFC payment that would integrate with something universal.
