I was having some battery issues with my Passport SE but i n the last day of 2017 I moved from 10-3-2...to 10-3-3-2031 OS version and no heating any more and the battery life got a fantastic upgrade. Removed the useless Android apps and installed the whastapp native app. Everything is perfect right now.

If you're wondering what an .asc or an OSINFO.txt file are, they aren't important. The .7z/zip file is the actual autoloader.

But really, the OSINFO file is the hashes (SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512, MD5) of each archive file, and the .asc files are detached PGP signatures (0xA6CCCDEA29795048, by the way).

The files on MEGA and Google Drive are exactly the same, just if one doesn't work, use the other. If both don't work, perhaps try doing it yourself.

Unfortunetaly not. The Passport of my wife is recognized at any of our PCs at home. My Passport is recognized by none of our PCs (tested with Win 7, Win 10 Pro, Win XP and Linux). So I think that the USB plug is defect or something like that. So the only option is the technical support from Blackberry, the cost for that is 39,-- USD (only for taking my call, nothing else). The check whats wrong will add further costs and the repair after that as well. At the moment new Passports can be bought for 150,-- EUR in Germany...

    Kind regards

As I did an security wipe of the device I cannot access anything on the BB Passport. I did the security wipe, the Passport switched off after performing it. I tried to start it several times, every time it started the security wipe again. Then it refused to start und showed the error 0015...

Try this: On your PC, Uninstall and reinstall BlackBerry Link software in order to have a fresh BlackBerry device driver. Use Google for direct access to the BlackBerry Link download site. The software itself is not useful anymore but you need the included driver. Then use Google to find the download link for Sachesi version 2.0.3 and install it. Connect your BlackBerry Passport to your computer, wait for the BlackBerry Device Manager to recognize it (may take a while). Even if not recognized after a while, try running Sachesi (just double-click sachesi.exe). Sometimes Sachesi will find the phone even if the computer did not. Sachesi allows you to wipe and rebuild the phone from scratch. You will need a full new OS download. I recommend the posted link for version 10.3.3.3057 (newest) shown here:
    Debrick (full) OS http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar
    Radio http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar
You need to install both with Sachesi, the radio is not included in the OS.

You need to install both with Sachesi, the radio is not included in the OS.
The only use for the debrick is to extract all the apps. Then you load the apps, the CORE, and the radio.

Probably easier just to use the Blitz file.

If you want a full wipe, clean install, use an autoloader.

I have a question with regards to the 10.3.2.2888 Autoloader for z30.

I'm about to use it on my z30. My understanding is that this version contains the android runtime bug. Is there a newer version of 10.3.2 autoloader, which already contains the bug fix, or do I just apply the fix after running the 2888 autoloader? If applying the fix, do I apply it before restoring from backup or after?

That is the newest. You will need to apply the patch, reboot, and wait 10 minutes.

I strongly recommend NOT using Link under any circumstances - as it places bugs right back onto the device.

If you MUST back things up, only use Ultimate Backup.

I've read many posts where people encountered problems with 10.3.3. I'd rather not take the risk since once you are on 10.3.3, you can't go back to 10.3.2

Re: Ultimate Backup. I've just purchased it and I'm backing up now, but once I use the Autoloader, the Ultimate Backup won't be on my phone anymore. I'm assuming I have to download it again, install, and then do the restore, correct?

That´s right. I´ve heard it as well. My PAssport SE was on 10.3.2 but the battery was draining very fast and the phone was heating a lot. I had no choice and I auto-loaded it to 10.3.3.3057 and everything ran smoothly. Battery life improved and no more heating. I got luck I presume but I am quite happy. Even a bank app that wasn´t working in the previous OS version now it´s working!

That's pretty much why I'm trying to load 10.3.2.2888 now. It's the version I'm on now, and the phone batters is draining fast...again...so what I do when this happens is just auto-load the same OS as the one I'm on. I've done this before, and it fixed the problem without having to go to a newer OS. Fingers crossed. If this doesn't solve the battery drain, then I'll probably do what you suggest, suck it up and go to 10.3.3

I have a question about the Ultimate Backup:

I've backed everything up, except the SD option, reloaded the OS with an Autoloader, and restored from backup. I'm looking at my phone now and there are few, rather important things, that haven't been restored. The main one being all the apps. The apps on my phone now are the once from factory default. None of the apps I had installed myself are on the phone now. Does Ultimate Backup not backup/restore the apps' binaries and their data?

No. Just download them again through BlackBerry World.

This is why it's cleaner than Link - it doesn't bring back old settings and old app data that may be corrupting the OS.
