Is there a guess or anything when BlackBerry will actually release 10.2?? I'm reading so many good things about it but don't really want to install it and load it on my phone myself..

According to the stats of the OS updates released before, it should be on mid-october or something between october and november.

But as we all know, results from the past do not offer any guarantee for the future. In other words, it's a wild guess.

    B. You read the first few posts in the leak thread and C. You follow all the steps as explained

According to the BlackBerry Dev Roadmap, it looks like things will be ready to go by August/september? Give a few months for testing (or a several if your American) ... My guess is Fall

Can you download large files onto your netbook? If so, you shouldn't have any issues installing a leak. Really isn't very technical at all.

I was nervous to install my 1st leak until someone explained how to go back to the stock OS that the phone shipped with. I felt at ease with making a mistake knowing how to go back.

The instructions to back should be given along with how load a leak.

Just say'n as it could help having the information in one place.

It has been explained. You basically use Link to downgrade to the factory OS.

my guess it'll be "officially' released AFTER the A30 release,,, otherwise there'd be even less reason to buy it as, for now, it's still a marginal device...

I keep reading about these 10.2 battery drain issues and also exchange and mail sync issues. That's a deal breaker for me to update because I use this phone for work and have to have exchange and Gmail working always.

Ur reading too much of the negative post. There are also plenty of the positive. Latest 10.2 leak is very good in terms of battery.

1047 the way to go...and downgrading is easy...use darcy's tool to downgrade the version of backup and rest of process remains same...backup...autoloader..wipe...restore using link..

I know how, was just saying I think because it's so, so, so simple that it gets over looked and new people get all uptight if the simplest thing goes a miss and they freak out on what to do to recover.

How to recover instructions from a failed install or unwanted upgrade should be with the 'how to' install leaks guides.

This will sound nuts but this how my mind works:

One day I was bored and opened the CB10 app and noticed a forum about leaks. Had no clue what the hell a leak was. Turned on my old laptop and with not hint of computer knowledge and without a care in the would I downloaded and installed a leak. All good Until the phone was not showing the names of callers. Ok no problem now what? Go to CB and read the forums. Oh, out of luck this is leak that's not good for me. Um, nobody told me how to go backwards. Lol like it's not my responsibility. Lol um yes it is My phone.... so sitting and drinking out of my glass it hits me! if I empty my glass I can fill it up with what ever I want and I'll have a new fresh full glass. So I connected to Link and noticed that little note saying something like ' is your phone acting f*** up' well if it press here'

And away I went. Been loading and un loading leaks for weeks. Can't stop it had to buy a second phone just have two going at the same time. Well it is BB 10 and I gits to keep moving.
