Meh, I knew it was too good to be true.
From what I gather, they were built to work on the Playbook, but I'm not sure if the Playbook itself can load the OS that would be able to run the apps. I think Sacha mentioned that just loading the files outright does not work. If it's possible for someone to make this work, I suspect that it's going to take some time to figure out.

Indeed, does not work, it seems these files are signed for BB10, so they won't install.

BlackBerry should at least release some better apps (browser) from 10.X to the PlayBook OS to make it usable...

Is there a way to open a native app (browser or camera) with 7z and remove the code that check for BlackBerry 10? I tired looking for it but couldn't. Also, I only finished one class of assembly, so hex is not my strong suit.

    Hey guys,

I just made a neat discovery. The apps on Blackberry 10.2 all support Playbook
    The ones from 10.1 didn't.

Some of the apps require a newer cascades version to work. However, resolution is no longer an issue. The apps all support: 1024x600 (LCD: Playbook), 1280x720 (OLED: A-Series), 720x720 (LCD: R-Series, OLED: N-Series) and 1280x768 (LCD: L-Series).
do you mean native apps or 3rd party apps, because i have tried a few native apps( camera, browser, and weather) from 10.2.0.483 and all give an error and dont load from chrome extension. also, someone asked about the keyboard app bar, I too would like to know.....

He's talking about native apps done by rim. Sadly, they need cascades so they won't work and even if they didn't, they'll give you an error because the PlayBook doesn't recognize the bb10 software.

So nothing works yet, not even keyboard

That's it. And it has been said before that these might just be remnants of when BB10 was due to be on PlayBook.

Thanks for the info and discovery. Can you clarify? I didn't quite understand the post. Are you saying that some app "should" work or did you find apps that actually work? Can you list the ones that you tried. It would be great to get a running list of the working ones.

    thanks,
