Which is the best windows program to sideload snap or droidstore? I used Google Chrome extension with the playbook manager, the two. Bar's installed but there was no Internet connectivity with 10.2.12xx, I wish to try 10.2.19xx soon on my BlackBerry Q10. I think others are suffering with network connectivity issues with android apps, maybe it has to do with how the app is sideloaded.

I've always used the playbook/bb10 chrome extension. Always works and nothing I've seen is any faster.

Chrome with BB10 / PlayBook add on is the easiest and most reliable.

neither snap nor droidstore are windows programs. they are apps for bb10 devices to allow downloading APKs from google play. droidstore servers dont work no more tho and snap is very well done and updated. i recommend snap.

as for sideloading, there are many methods. the two i use are localbar 1.0.0.2 (this lets me install bars from phone through laptop proxy back onto phone. this is complicated and needs setup but it doesnt require any cables.) and chrome browser extension (playbook app manager+dev mode on and then drag and drop; also wireless on same network)

He didn't say they were windows programs. He was asking which program (for windows) can be used to sideload these 2 bars.

I also use BlackBerry Manager Chrome extension on PlayBook and Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.1925. DDPB is my backup app. Sometimes after a first load BlackBerry Manager won't connect unless I reboot. Never feel like doing that, so I use DDPB instead. Till later.

FYI current version of Droid store doesn't work on anything higher than 10.2.1.1055. Dev is aware. Snap works though

Playbook extension if you like to be wire free and have chrome installed(I have run across a few things this has told me it cannot push to the device, ran Sachesi and it worked flawlessly). Otherwise you cant beat Sachesi for ease of use and its abilities beyond sideloading.

Yes I did. Best windows program to sideload snap or droid store.

In other words... in order to sideload snap or droid store... what is the best program to do so... in a windows environment.

I've used all three (DDPB, Sachesi and Chrome) and the easiest and quickest in my experience is Chrome.

Last time I tried Sachesi I couldn't get it to connect, so that's why I tried the Chrome extension. I had my phone plugged in and used the USB IP.

Thank you. The thread title could use a little tweaking, perhaps I'll do that. But if you take time to read the first post and not just the title it's clear what the OP is asking.

My 2 cents, Saschie is easiest but chrome extension is a close second.

I haven't used my playbook much since I got it a year ago because of the app situation. I'm finally tired of my iphone and thinking of switching back to the z10 or z30, but figured I should attempt to sideload some stuff onto my playbook to make sure I could do it. I have been using the chrome extension and I've got instagram, netflix and hbo go onto the playbook, but none of them will actually open. Are there special versions for the playbook vs phones (perhaps I'm using the wrong one)? Are there reliable site for getting the .bar files? This is making me very hesitant to get the z10/30 -- maybe I'm just not tech-savy enough this.

The problem is the PlayBook operating system can't handle these Android apps. That's what BB10 brings to the table. And that is why so many of us were disappointed when BlackBerry announced they wouldn't honour their commitment to bring BB10 to the PlayBook.

I have the Z10 with 1925 on all my Android apps are working now, including Netflix and Instagram!!!

That's interesting because I'm on 10.2.1.1925 as well and the latest version opens then says it has an error and closes for me every time.
