    Howdy Crackberry Users,

I grabbed myself a Z10 from Best Buy today, hurray! Any hoot, yesterday a Crackberry user recommended that I install a leaked BB10 OS before doing much with the phone. Which leak would you all recommend, if any? Or, should I acquaint myself more with BB10 before installing a leaked OS?

I am running 10.1.0.4651 which is available through this thread:
    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...evices-829892/

It will help us help you if you let us know your carrier. If Verizon, then definitely install a 10.1 leak. Most of the other carriers already have updated the OS to 10.1. Before you install a leak, it would be wise to familiarize yourself not only with your new phone, but also download and install BlackBerry Link on your computer. Then read up on how to install a leak. The simple way is this:

    1. Backup your phone via Link thru your USB. Once finished unplug your phone and close Link.
    2. Download the leaked OS to your computer. (I recommend downloading ones that have an autoloader built into them. Kris Simundson is one leak provider you can trust. Mecca El is another)
    3. Unzip the leak file.
    4. USB your phone to your computer and start the leak autoloader (double click the unzipped file).
    5. Autoloader will do the rest. Once your phone has rebooted, set up your phone.
    6. Start Link and restore your backup (not reload, but restore) This restore will reload your settings, your data and your applications.
    7. Make sure everything is set up right, then backup your phone. Unplug from the computer and you should be good to go.

I am with AT&T as well. I went to leaks before ATT finally released a 10.1 update. Your phone is running a lower version of 10.1 than what I am. You should be fine where you are. Enjoy your phone. I think you will find it is a real workhorse and can do so many things well.

My first leak from the official AT&T 10.1 latest update is10.2.0.483 radio 10.2.0.340. After a couple of days so far everything has smooth itself out. The best features for me is great battery life and the pop notifications.

I do eventually want to try other side loads but haven't figured those out.

Been using my ATT device since it appeared in late March. Truly still am loving it...My recommendation, unless your Z10 didn't come pre-installed with a 10.1.0.2050 or higher OS, I'd suggest that you upgrade it to 10.1.0.4633 and run with it for a few weeks. While using 4633, which is an official release and very stable I might add, you'll gain some valuable experience and eventually you'll be in great shape to take a plunge into something more risky should you wish to venture that way. Regardless, enjoy the ride and hold on to BlackBerry device.

Definitely, 10.1.0.4651 gives me the best in battery life, so far! It's about the only significant improvement I have noticed since 10.1.0.4543. For unknown reasons, the previous 10.1.0.4633 failed to install on my Z10 STL100-1, aborting about 50% into the loading/writing phase. A second attempt also failed and I was forced to revert back to my previous OS. However, a few days later I was able to upgrade to .4651 without any problem.

The radio on mine is the same as yours. I have no problems with phone reception, but then again in my home area I have real strong LTE. When I get to my church that is in the country in Bowling Green, my phone reception is still good, and the LTE is weak at best.
