Sorry, maybe I should of said which version I had! I got 10.2.0.424. I haven't ever put a leaked OS on, I've only ever let it update by itself through the phone.

So if I install this runtime, would any problems occur when the next official update is released?
Not at all. It's safe. Even if you don't like it you can always replace it with another version by sideloading it. If you want to be adventurous, just load the leaked 10.2.1.1055. It's quite stable for a daily driver. I've installed this version, did a full restore using the latest BB Link and so far only experiencing minor bugs that doesn't annoy in my daily use. Lots of new features, download using snap and can install apk directly and when there's an update, just download the newer version again using snap and after it will update the app.

Hi, thank you very much for your help! My only issue with loading leaked firmware is that I don't want to restore my phone; when updating officially I get to keep all of my data with no hassle.

Sorry to be a pain, so if I sideload this runtime, would it be possible for me to do that and only that? Or would I have to restore my phone? I also read someone say they had to reinstall all of their apps. Is that just their sideloaded apps or do they mean literally all of them, even apps aquired from BlackBerry World? If it's just sideloaded apps, I only have about 3 so wouldn't mind doing that!

Does the order matter when side loading the two run-time bars?

The order doesn't matter. Just sideload both bars

What does matter though is that you do full restart after.

Someone lock this thread up cos it's creating confusion.

    Unlocked runtime is now irrelevent.

Ahhhhh, that is great news! Huzzah... the 10.2.1.x OS must be official on all carriers everywhere right now... right?

Newsflash! The leaked android runtime in this thread isn't official either!

    So what's your point?

Someone update the OP and lock this thread.

The point was that until it is official everywhere, this thread is relevant as those who want an unlocked runtime will still need to sideload it. Not everyone wants to install the leaked 10.2.1.x OS at this time.

The point is that people with the leak are still hunting down this runtime because they think unlocked automatically equals better.

Your point that some people are willing to install a leaked runtime but not a leaked OS is an edge case. Sure, there will be a few people like that, but not enough to warrant the confusion.

Well, I've been asking for the OP to be updated to clear the version requirements up for a long time. Abandon all hope and move on.

Installing a leaked runtime is far easier/quicker than installing a leak, so it's probably not as much of an edge case as you think. I'm one of those people btw.

So for anyone who gets ths far:

    DO NOT INSTALL THIS RUNTIME

    1) If you on an official carrier release, it's likely that the runtime included in your OS is far newer and superior to the one on this thread. Learn the simple xascha debug method (search) and you'll have a much better Android experience.

    2) If you're on a 10.2.1.1055+ leak, you're able to install APK packages directly to your phone. Sideload Snap (search) and you will soon see that the 'unlocked' aspect of the OLD runtime in this thread is now irrelevent.

    First off, welcome to CrackBerry!
Please update your profile to include device, carrier, and location. This makes it easier for others to help you.

This thread is unrelated to your question.
Please check out our BB10 Android Apps Forum. Review the Sticky Threads at top of that forum especially.

If you can't find an answer yourself after looking/searching and you decide to post a new thread there, be a lot more specific. Include:
    1. your device model
    2. your OS version
    3. which apps specifically you mean
    4. how exactly is each not working

    Good luck!
