    Seems like the double bar method worked for instagram
    BerryLeaks Presents: Leaked Unlocked Android Runtime-img_20131047.jpg
    However I have a very funky keyboard. Flicks help a lot but if anyone knows of a permanent fix for the keyboard that would be great. Able to hide the nav bar also. Does this mean the runtime from BBW is unlocked or is it because I also have an unlocked runtime?

    Thanks for the Android runtime! You guys are AWESOME! I made a video of my experience:

    I am on a Dev Alpha C (aka Q10) running the autoloaded 10.2.0.1047.

    I downloaded the Google Docs share link for the Unlocked Android Runtime linked on the first post, and I also downloaded these 2 files from BB10Bars.net:

    Instagram.bar

    BB Sideloading Tool

    So I used the BB Sideloading Tool to install the Android Runtime over to my DAC (both files). Then I rebooted the phone. Next I tried to install Instagram.bar. First few times the BB Sideloading Tool said it failed... would get to 50% install and stop. Finally after a few times it successfully went to 100% install and I have been using Instagram downloaded from BB10Bars.net (version 4.1.2).

    Issues with Instagram and fixes:

    1. Typing comments - keyboard screwed up
    Solution: Type in notepad or BBM or anywhere else, then copy and paste text into Instagram

    2. Camera screwed up
    Solution: In Instagram settings/options, scroll down to OPTIONS, Advanced Features, uncheck both "Use Instagram's Advanced Camera" and "Use High-Quality Image Processing"

    3. Won't let you apply filters, stuck on preview screen
    Solution: After you pick photo and crop, press OK and then on next screen (filter options) quickly press the green right arrow at the top-right corner of the screen....

    So far it is working on the DAC/Q10 but not without a few issues.

    Would you have the two runtime bars for ATT 10.1.0.2019? I mistakenly installed the one meant for 10.2 only and would like to revert to the correct rt for my version... thanks in advance.

    Has anyone had issues entering email/passwords to login for sideoaded apps with this runtime? For example, when I try to login to Amazon or Alarm.com, I am unable to use special characters or capital letters, because within the apps the alt or caps keys are not being recognized. Sometimes I can get around it with cut/paste (Alarm.com) but not always (Amazon this won't work). I tried loading the runtime from the play store, that didn't work. So then I reloaded this runtime again. I then tried reloading the runtime from the OS installer package from Sachesi (10.2.0.131). No dice there either.

    I see some notes in the thread about keyboard problems, but I am not sure if those Z10 problems are the same as what I am experiencing with my Q10?

    Any ideas?

    Yep. You should get two .bar files out of it.
    I tried downloading the unzipped files on MEGA a few posts back via the Chrome extension and they did not work. I got an error message. I am running 10.2 on a Verizon Z10 STL 100-4 and have tried various methods but cannot get Runtime 4.2.2 to load successfully onto my device. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    To be specific, every 10.2 runtime is 4.2.2.

    Now, you have the choice of the stock runtime (newer, no permanent back bar, locked), this unlocked runtime (older, permanent back bar, no network issues) and the 10.2.1 unlocked runtimes (newer, no permanent back bar, some network issues).

    Which specific error message did you get from the Chrome extension? And did you try loading the bars with Sachesi/another method to see if anything would change?

    Just wiped PlayBook, and patched to OS version 2.1.0.1753

    Downloaded Android_Runtime and when I try to sideload using Chrome extention I get this:
    nstall sys.android-127.0.0.595.bar: failure 821 Application-Requires-System: unrecognized system name 'BlackBerry 10'
    Info: Action: Install
    Info: File size: 86050899
    Info: Installing ...
    Info: Processing 86050899 bytes
    actual_dname::
    actual_id::
    actual_version::
    result::failure 821 Application-Requires-System: unrecognized system name 'BlackBerry 10'
    Did a search on this thread for failure 821, but could not find anything.
    Any idea of the best way to proceed?

    All I got is a playbook, no other device, so my question is if there is a way to make this run on a Playbook, not on any other device.

    Is there any way modify the files? Or to make this work I need to change the OS of the PB? (I rather not!)

    We have no way of doing either (well, someone put a very early version of BlackBerry 10 on a PlayBook once, but it's a waste of time).

    OK, now we are getting somewhere.

    So if you were me and wanted to install the latest and bestest android runtime, which version would you use?

    As funny as it sounds, im only interested in making Skype work on my PB, if I manage to do that, big win!

    My current version of sys.android is 2.1.0.147

    Might be a stupid comment on my end, but have you tried to sideloading the app using the debug token method?

    Not a stupid comment, I only have tried using the "put the PB in dev mode and use the chrome extension drag and drop"

    I installed tons of apps that way, the only one that doesnt work is skype...

    There was a skype BAR that used to work on PB your just need to stay on an old OS for it to function. Haven't try it but if is that important to you you will need the BAR from Goodereader and downgrade your OS to the old one so you can try see if it works. Good luck

    Okay I've got a question - if I install this, what happens when the official version comes out? I'm assuming this runtime will be released in a future OS update.

    So when that update comes, do I just install it the official normal way, normally? Or will I have to remove this sideloaded version first?

    The version in os 10.2.1.1055 is open and is the one you want - assuming you are running 10.2.1.xxxx

    Sorry, maybe I should of said which version I had! I got 10.2.0.424. I haven't ever put a leaked OS on, I've only ever let it update by itself through the phone.

    So if I install this runtime, would any problems occur when the next official update is released?
