    Hey everyone,
Has anyone tried this Unlocked Android Runtime on OS 10.2.0.1767?

    Thanks
[edit]Yep. Mine does work. Just really slow to start up and a bit slow.

The 1767 Runtime is super fast and smooth.

Anyone have the BAR files from 10.2.0.1767 so I can restore Android runtime.

My experience with the unlocked runtime on 1767 was initially the same as yours. I mentioned this on the 1767 leak thread. I had loaded the unlocked runtime before sideloading the Android apps, and most of them wouldn't run at all--just got the blue bar moving from left to right.

So I tried re-sideloading the unlocked runtime, and now all the apps run well, without any bothersome lags. (I don't run any games.) And, of course, the black bar at the bottom is there, which doesn't bother me on a Z10 100-3.

I don't know if the 1767 runtime, other than eliminating the black bar, would run better, and of course you'll need the debugtoken for many of the apps (I did, anyway). But here's a link to the two 1767 bar files:

What would be the odds of getting an updated runtime which would be unlocked? Or should I do a bit more reading to fully understand it?

    Thanks

Never has being mention by BB leak team, and they have being working on leaked OS for a while so I I guess is unlikely to surface.

    Outlook not so good.

Debug tokens are the way forward, looks like.

I found that Flipboard wasn't as fluid on the unlocked runtime compared to 1767 version.

Thanks again for the BAR files

    You're welcome--glad to do it.

I just DL'ed the Flipboard APK. I'll try it first on the unlocked runtime then do a debugtoken on it and try it with the 1767 runtime files. I'll post back later on about the results. If it runs much smoother, I assume other apps will, as well.

I wonder why the BB people insist on keeping the runtime locked?

I reconverted all the APKs to bar files using the debugtoken and am on the latest locked Android runtime fro 10.2.0.1767.

Everything is running well after the reinitialization. It does seem a little smoother and faster than the unlocked runtime.

That should be it for a while so far as the OS and Android tinkering is concerned. At least for a couple days....

So I wasn't crazy then. Maybe 1767 has a few runtime tweets over the unlocked version which is a Dev build I belive.

No, I don't think you were imagining the improvement. It's not "striking" with most of my apps, but seems smoother, definitely, and all the apps are well-behaved. It would likely be more noticeable with games or animations, which I don't have.

My understanding is that even when the debugtoken expires, the already-loaded debug'ed Android apps will continue to function. Of course, it's not difficult to renew the token--just have to think about it every month if you want to convert new APKs or if you upgrade the OS.

If you want the latest, then the Android runtime from 10.2.0.1743/10.2.0.1761 (both are version 10.2.0.125) is what you should have.
How would I get the bar files for Android run time that comes with 10.2.0.1767 which I have on my phone? I installed 810 and it seems a bit laggy. Thanks!

Use Darcy's tool to extra the 2 android bars from the .1767 autoloader.

Just another dumb question....... hope not to anger all>>> I am on 10.2.0.1767>>>

Just want to know what is debug mode locked & unlocked?

How does it help? I have always sideloaded apps using DDPB..... but never used debug mode.

Does it make apps run which require payment or something?

    Please guide.

Debug tokens are used to run some APP that need special permission to run on BB. When you convert a APK (android APP) to BAR (BB APP) via an APK to BAR converter some apps fail to launch or collapse. So you need a debug token to convert it for it to function.
If you install the unlocked android RT you can sideload using DDPB or any other method without the need of a debut token

Drag the debug token bar and drop it on renew token located at the android pack you installed to create the token

What are the chances of seeing a leaked unlocked Android Runtime that allows the Android bar to be hidden? That would be total nirvana.
