The switch off at 30, 40 + percent is due to a bug in stl 100-1 which SeemS to be hardware?? Once the 10.1.0.273 was installed irrespective of what softwares were loaded or how many security wipes there were issues after.

The thing to do according to ANOTHER user (I don't know what's the thread title - if someone else who knows can post a link- all thanks to that user)) run the phone till it offs, remove the battery for an hour put the battery in and hold the switch on button for a minute and finally connect the charger and wait for it to be fully charged. Many who tried reported it to have successfully worked.

What I found from changing OSs for many times is don't security wipe, I haven't have had any problems and it's from multiple changes of OS with restores.

For this OS I done a security wipe and the early switch off came back.

Just noticed that my device keeps shutting down at 40%. This is the third time it's happening today and now my android apps keep giving me this error

    Attachment 199547

Is the unlocked android runtime not compatible with this leak version?

How do I reinstall the runtime that came with this leak?

I think the phone is misreading battery charge. This is believed to originate when you update on less than a full battery. You may think battery life is exceptional because of the percentage left, until it shutdowns at 30 or 40 percent. For some reason or other, this seems exclusive to STL100-1 (hey, at least we have something unique) and it's been covered in several threads. Common fix is to let the phone die, take battery out for an hour and before charging remember to plug usb to phone and then plug charger to wall. Sounds like voodoo, I know, but it works.

Some additional differences that I noticed moving from 1047

    1. Blackberry Hub Icon has changed
    2. Mobile Hotspot is now working
    3. Lock Screen Notifications, now stays on

That shouldn't happen though, it was a seamless process upgrading to this leak. Perhaps try to right click, run as Administrator for the installation?

sideload again unlocked android runtime bars then reboot your device, for me is working fine...
Thanks for the tip man. I think holo launcher was the cause of the problem. I deleted all android apps, reinstalled the run time and then my apps. Everything is working fine again.

I had that issue was my phone was in airplane mode and connected via wifi. I switched to mobile network data, open the blackberry id page on my device and when it loaded fully, I plugged my phone into the computer again and BB LINKS detected it once again and started my data restore process

    Hi Guys,

I need your help, I have the 10.2.0.1047 leak at the moment and I wish to upgrade my leak to 10.2.0.1521.
But before doing this, I wish to sync my contacts and Calendar via Blackberry Link.
Unfortunately, the "CONFIGURE" Button for such on Blackberry Link is "Greyed out" and is thereby inaccessible.

I wish to ask you guys on how will I be able to back up/sync/keep my current COntacts List prior to upgrading my OS and how I would be able to restore it after upgrade.

I am hoping that you guys would help me on this.

    Thanks!!

Email issue was resolved. Now emails are being sent as usual. It was horrible day since yesterday. It was 3 times installing of 1521 and downgrading to 1047, so painful these 2 days. Finally relaxed with 1521. Let's see how battery liife is with this OS.

    This has been covered here:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...battery-807279

It has a lot of user experiences doing this. Some think it only takes removing the battery for an hour regardless of the charge level. Don't worry, the advice will help set it OK.

Forgive the necessity for clarification....Complete Backup meaning Application Data, Media and Settings have to be all checked?
And this will also include Backup of Calendar and Contact Entries? Please confirm.
I just wanna make sure before I start running the Autoloader..

    Thanks!

OK, so I've had the new software on for 6 hours.
    Here's my initial feedback:

1- Massive battery drain and high heating levels. (Expected for first 2 days, nothing wrong here).
2- Active screen loader (when you turn on the phone) has changed colour to light blue. (Minor change).
    3- BlackBerry Hub icon changed.
4- Load icon changed again from the rotating squares to a circle that is a little wider in diameter than the one on 10.1 and its colour is black rather than light blue.
5- Facebook notifications are now working fine. (Finally!) That was a huge bug in the 1047 leak.
6- Total new sound files for all alerts (BBM, reminder, general, clock, ...etc). It's excellent.
7- In 1047 the network showed 4G as an option (I know -01 doesn't support it, but it was displayed anyway). It has now been taken off again.
8- A random number of my contacts have just disappeared. But before I started to freak out they started to appear again randomly as well.
My guess is that the phone is still indexing all my data (the restored backup sized 6.3 GBs!) so I'm not surprised.
9- Whole phone performance is smoother.

That's pretty much it for now.
Once the new software settles in and is done with indexing in a day or so, I'll post any changes I see.

    Cheers
