If only it didn't disable protect won't risk that. Thanks for the leak and testing work, keep it up.

And one other question: the install walk-thru in the OP doesn't make mention of security wiping before and after installation. Was that an omission, something we should all know to do and not worthy of mention, or has it been decided that security wiping isn't necessary any longer?
I understand the confusion. In the OP we link to these extended instructions Installing leaks - BerryLeaks Wiki - the security wipe is mentioned and recommended in there

It is optional. Not required. Some like to, some do not. Only way to make sure there are no old os remnants is to wipe.

Thank you both! (I was going to do it regardless, just wondered if things had changed).

What a few of us found is that after you reboot a few times, protect stays on

Battery life on the z10, STL100-4 is my biggest question. Does anyone on the team have experience they can relay?
My experience says the battery is not any better than 1047. But then again, I have not found a build to last me over 4 hrs on a battery. I am a heavy user of my Z10.

I think 4 hours is about right for me but I put a port thingie in my golf cart so I'm better now. But yes 4 hours is about right with phone calls and emails and BBM is killing my Z. The stock OS was not much better.

Thanks to the team for the release. Just to clarify, would you say battery life is much better in general after one day, or better than 1047 once it settles after a day? Thanks so much!

Why not READ a few posts before you. Wu wei has the answer. just look. dont have to search. just look
Snide answer, IMHO, and un-called for. My post was timestamped at 3:29 CDT, and actually was posted at least two minutes before that, because it was quoted and answered /before/ it appeared at 3:28. Wu-Wei's post was timestamped at 3:21 CDT. The fact is that Wu-Wei's post appeared /while/ I was composing mine, and there is no way, in a fast developing thread like this, to keep up with the posts.
