Pretty much yes, it's the same with my Q it works but it doesn't. I just don't think it's 100% implemented yet. The software is there, just hasn't been turned on in the OS, if that makes any sense
Well kind off: while, the Q10 is able to detect Wi-Fi Direct capable devices and vice versa, it isn't capable of connecting to other devices. So the protocol hasn't been implemented fully (is that possible?) or indeed it hasn't been activated or turned on.

Anyway thanks for clearing that up for me, i'm glad that it isn't my device that is at fault, but just the beta-software.

    Q10, SQN100-2:

FWIW, Facebook "check in" feature isn't working for me either - I get the same "You don't have permission" message as other have posted. Has anyone loaded the droid FB app and tried that to see if it works? All of my other GPS-utilizing apps (Google maps 7.x, BB Maps, GPS Waypoint finder, etc) are all working fine. Leads me to believe it's a bug in BB's FB app.
The android sideload does allow for check in. It is strange that a sideload running in vm gains the necessary permissions while the native does not. I have all the native permissions enabled and the latest version as well.

I suspect the native app will be updated shortly to resolve this. The mobile facebook site works as well if you don't want to sideload.

Edit: I am running the 810 runtime, so I can't comment on the current runtime.

Maybe this another conversation that we should move to another thread, and I'm not trying to contradict you (you guys are generally more knowledgeable than I, and more often correct), but I did find this: Overview: IMS Wi-Fi Calling | T-Mobile Support

Posted via CB10 from my SEKSI Z10 (STL100-3 OS 10.2.0.1323)
I didn't say WiFi calling couldn't be used over a network implementing IMS, but they are wholly two separate and different things...

Yeah it seems that the game loft apps are not yet 10.2 compatible. At least that's what I gather from multiple posts on the subject.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned repeatedly, but...

Is anyone else no longer able to sideload apps with this build?

I'm sincerely hoping it's just me being stupid, and I won't have to revert back to an earlier build.

Restart the device. I had it happen when I sideloaded all the apps in my PostAutoloader.

    -.-

other than your failed attempt at being funny, it would've helped if you got your facts straight, Skype is NOT NATIVE. It is still a android application running in the ANDROID VM
Kris mate, I specified in the post (yes ported android but native in bb world) what I meant is that it is offered in bb world and can be downloaded without sideloading or debug token. If it wasn't working on both Z10 and Q10 I would have understood but one and not the other seems to be weird.
    No offense to anyone

Btw, J think it would be a good idea for mods to be able to tag or somehow mark the posts that are helpful to the conversation. Then it would be able to be sortable, that would be awesome.

They are vastly different... Considering one is Android and one is an Android Port if they were the same we would just be downloading out of the Google Play store... Alright enough on this one too...

I used the sideload method over 1047. Notice some bug in the call log when contact name does not showup. I have to remove the country code then it show up again. But not all contacts have these issue so I don't know if it is a real bug or not
Not sure if anyone has answered this yet (I'm a few pages behind and trying to catch up) but you should restart the device after sideloading all those bar files in my PostAutoloader. I should have said that in my post. Sorry.
