I have to wait it out to load this build. As far as I understand in this thread, nothing new features are added on over 1047. Mine on 1047 is working perfectly so far. I don't want to give up the cool loading animation on 1047. The only thing I want is wifi direct but this build does not have it yet.

So, finally all up and running - however long it took me...

The BlackBerry driver is getting on my nerves... (it's slow to recognise a BlackBerry being connected and disconnected...)

Anyway - I dislike the new spinner already...

Can we please move the 7zip.discussion to another thread as we want to keep this clean for issues with the OS, not what is or is not a good zip program.

Observation- Should the OP or just below have a helpful tip on 7zip usage or link to download file of it? We could all point people to it as quick answer. imho

This build has many bug fixes, and is a loading spinner that much of a deal breaker? Serously?

7zip installs no malware, spyware add-ons.
The original project lives on sourceforge.

As to winrar... why would one pay for an inferior product if there is a superior free open source one? (7zip)

    -------------------------------

I can see your crystal ball is a newer version than mine...

As I said before, I picked 7zip from a 7zip download site. Yes, wrong choice but I'm not displeased with Winrar either...

Anyone else experiencing slightly more battery drain? Unless if I should give it more time to settle with the new OS on my DevQ.

It takes a day or two to settle but the battery drain can be atrocious at first.

I think the BlackBerry leaks team should update the OP to indicate that bbm voice/video echoing issue is now resolved in this leak.

2 people have confirmed no echoing. This is my main reason to upgrade and my GF has been bugging me for weeks!

Initial feedback, seems to be more stable overall than 1047. I'm not getting issues with Android runtime crapping out when detecting the network. Netflix still doesn't work. You can run the app fine, log in fine, but the content refuses to stream. It just hangs on "loading" permanently. This could be problematic for the final implementation of 10.2 Android runtime.

Once again, thanks for the leak Here's hoping BlackBerry does not cause us to lose ability to run certain apps in 10.2.

Also, any clue why BlackBerry does not formally make the change to the Android runtime not to require the debug permissions for the apps containing native code?

OK. Here's a Netflix fix for ya. Use the 1.8ver for one. For another. When u are loaded up and signed in. And on main page. Swipe down. Choose player type. Choose software. Bam! Fixed bobs ur uncle
