I had some USB connection issues on my laptop, so I extracted the BB Device Manager setup files from the sys.data.pbcd.bar. Evidently they are a later version than what Link comes with, and that fixed it.

That actually happened to me with one of my previous os installs 10.1). After shaking the phone like a mad man it didn't correct itself. The next time I done an install it was corrected.

Edit: Try side loading the compass (whatever it may becalled) over itself, or just a hard reboot if you haven't already tried.

    Device : Z10

    Model: STL 100-1

    Question :
Ive read through the 30 pages and re read the first page.
From what toobs and BlackScorpion (I think)mentioned that bug fixes will only be got if the full os is loaded.

So if I use wu-wei's postautoloader(thanks for that) it won't correct the hotspot problems on the stl 100-1 right?

Or has Adam (if he had sideloaded these files over) had it to work with out a problem?

I'd try myself but don't have access to a computer right now and since I'm on 10.1 it'd take me a while when I do have access to back up, load and restore so I apologise for the question.

    Thanks for your time

You would be correct in this statement. Loading the post autoloader will not correct the hotspot issue. You would need the core OS for that, which you would only get from full autoloader install.

This has been touched on many times before in many threads and even in Kris' YouTube vids.

Headless app support is there. However, the developer of said app will need to add in the code repackage, and issue an update to the app, before the app can run headless.

This means even though support is there, you will NOT see apps running headless for now!

Yea that's what I thought. Saw it was in the dev build but wasn't sure if it was in this one.

Let hope the devs start updating their apps soon to support it.

Thanks for the info dude. Appreciate it.

Well, even if they update, developers still need to apply and be approved to have the app run headless. Same with hub integration.

So, I wanted to try and hear the sound the command line makes again when it is ready to load the OS and see if I could record it to use as a notification sound for one of my email account because I like it. I purposely put in the wrong passcode for my device hoping it would make it again and the leak still proceeded to load. Restarting now. Is this a problem?

and does anyone know how I can extract that sound from the exe file or is that a regular Windows command line sound?(I'm a Mac user)

No it shouldn't be a open api, I don't want just anyone having access to running their app 100% of the time in the background without my knowledge and draining the battery that much faster

No, not stupid. It was and still is the same with push notifications also.

If every app had headless ability, then your battery life would be greatly reduced. I'll trade good battery life any day.

Thanks to everyone who supplied links and leaks for this. This is my first leaked install on my z10, I waited a while just to get a "pure" experience... Anyway, this seems to be running great. What is most surprising is that this wasn't what the z10 came with in the first place. Given how well android apps run now, instagram is fast, vine works, etc, this could have really made a big difference at launch.

I have the 1047 running from the day it's out, a few bugs here and there but overall, it's classy!
So my doubt was, is this new leak better because I can't really make my mind if I should upgrade.
And, the Fb app wasn't able to use the "check-in" feature, is it fixes here?

I had a couple of issues with 1047 which have been resolved in this build.

    1. In 1047 the android nav bar often glitched. This has been resolved.

    2. The phone proximity sensor was inaccurate and I'd often accidentally end calls. This has been resolved.

It feels just as quick as 1047 and battery life seems identical so far.

Don't bother trying it this time...personally I think it is BB's way of keeping us from playing with our phones while we drive.
Maybe they should put an option "I am the wife" and let her play with my Z while I am driving...
