Amazing moodyk, thanks SO much for this. Makes things a lot simpler and hopefully a lot quicker. And of course to BLeaks Team, as for their tireless patience......heck, reading through 23 pages of mind-numbingly similar questions makes MY eyeballs hurt....dread to think of having to do this regularly every couple of weeks.....oh wait, I do

One question for the pros here...if I side load the bars in moodyk's little download, it's completely non-destructive right? As I will only be overwriting these precise files from the previous OS (1791). Also, the googlechrome plugin will work for this, no?

Sorry, all I've really done to date is run the autoloaders and only last weekend jumped into android runtimes and all that good stuff, so a little unsure as yet.

All responses will be, as ever, gratefully received.

Sideloading the upgraded bars over 1791 should work (and overwrite the old versions only), although I recommend a reboot to make sure.

I had some spare time, so I loaded 1803 with the autoloader.

Gotcha. Reboot after, I take it. And of course all standard procedures - backup, airplane mode, etc. Just no wiping, as it's non-destructive. Also, figure I should unload android apps, and reload unlocked runtime after. Or just skip loading older 10.2.o android runtime and leave my unlocked 10.2.1 runtime and installed android apps alone? Tricky, sounds like......

You can leave out the 132 runtime to avoid overwriting your current unlocked runtime.

Interesting - settings app reports OS version as 1791. As does sachesi. Does your's show 1803, thurask, given that you ran the autoloader?

Either way, doesn't appear like there's much of a change, though it's been less than 10 mins......so if anything does become apparent, it'll be duly noted and posted.

Thanks again for your responses, thurask. And moodyk, of course, for the uber-convenient new bar upload.

Thanks for the explanation, definitely much clearer now. I had used the upgrade files. I wonder if there is any difference in the overall install between these two methods. Did your Software Release version change?
There isn't any difference between side loading upgrade or debrick but with upgrade your files will be in small parts and lots of it, with debrick it will be only 2 parts of files.

If you only want to update several files then use upgrade. You can choose which file you want to upgrade by grabbing the links using sachesi.

I prefer to use debrick. It's only two files and not bothered with choosing files. Just upgrade the whole thing.

The os release doesn't come out though.

Ok, I have to report. I'm sitting in my bedroom right now where I usually get one bar and at times, lose signal all together and I've got FOUR BARS! This radio seems to be making a noticeable difference.

Yes, but it's not a consistent 4 bars, unfortunately. But it seems to be consistently two bars vs one or none previously. I guess that's something.

Trying to use Sachesi for the first time to update the OS. Got the bar files all downloaded (10.2.0.429, and I know where they are). I'm following the instructions from here: Advanced: How to Force Load the Latest OS 10.2 On Your BlackBerry - BerryReview.

I'm in the Install tab of Sachesi, click the .bar(s) button, navigate to the version folder where I see all the bars, but it does nothing when I click on Open. It looks like it's wanting a file name, and it only lets you select one file at a time -- I'm pretty sure that can't be right. Step 5 on the above link just says to select the folder where the OS files were downloaded, which I've done. What am I missing here?

    BTW -- I've got Sachesi 1.1.

Edit: I tried the Folder button in the Install tab, and that seems to be installing everything now. Keeping fingers crossed that I'm not hosing it!

I'd have to screen shoot and re-ad about 300+ entries. Not good

Ok, I haven't noticed this with previous versions, but it could just be due to my not paying attention. I've got my theme set to dark for contacts, but when I go to phone and then contacts, it's the light theme. Can someone confirm? I find that strange. Anywho, not the end of the world.

Yes, this is the case. For whatever reason the theme does not carry through the hub. I'm personally hoping they'll a) Fix that in the next official update/leak and b) add more colours!

For those of you with a complete hybrid running a core 10.2.0.xxxx with a host of 10.2.1.xxxx bars - you can use sachesi to grab just the core os 1803 (approx 300MB) and 1804 radio without having to re-load your other updated bars. Running real nice on my Z10 stl-100-3.
I did load the os first, reboot and then the radio.
