If you experience battery drain after restoring the Settings of your backup, well you're not alone.

After restoring your backup on, you will notice in your hub that all of your email accounts are trying to update the account password or some sort. So basically your email is pushing the phone to reconnect to the email servers, which may contribute to the battery drain.

Possible Workaround: delete all of email account and FB, Twitter, LinkedIN, evernote from the BBHub. Then restart the phone. After restarting, check for other issues before entering your email and social accounts.

Another problem you might encounter is that after opening the Wi-Fi, battery drain will also occur. This is probably because of some settings that came from 10.2.1 that is not optimized for 10.3 which haywire the wifi card to call for other services.

Possible workaround: remove Wi-Fi names that you usually used at home or at the office. Then reconnect them one by one. Also, disable the wifi settings that lets your phone to autoconnect on known wifi spots.

    Hope this helps.
Now I yet to encounter battery drain after restoring backup from to

Yes it is suggested. But this is for those people who badly needed the following after installing a 10.3 leak.

    1. Contacts
    2. SMS
    3. Calendar
    4. Remember

The only one of these that I don't have a work around for is Remember and that can be backed up using Backup Pro or other programs from BlackBerry World.

    For Contacts I use ContactX
For SMS/MMS I use SMS Backup
Calendar syncs when I add my emails back
    I don't use Remember

Other than SMS, try firechest backup. It can also connect to your dropbox account and store all the backups in your dropbox.

Good for those who can buy apps from BB World.

But for those who have no Paypal account, what other alternatives do you have?

I just find it funny that this community dismisses suggestions; without even trying or testing. Then puts crap about using 3rd party apps which in no particular way free for everyone to use.

As title suggest, POSSIBLE WORKAROUND . Well if you have the means then please use 3rd party apps.

If you don't have access to paid apps, you may put your hands on these. Well this is what beta softwares are for... TESTING.
