As per title, my main issue with these latest beta OS versions is this:
After a certain amount of time, audible notifications just stop working (LED/vibrate work, media sound is fine as well), and the Hardware volume keys no longer respond.

I have tried to toggle many settings like Bluetooth, sound profiles, advanced notifications and BlackBerry Assistant, but nothing I do seems to correct this. I ran the BBVE tests and it all appears to be in order.

It is fine after every reboot, but just ends up happening again after a seemingly random interval.
I tried to find information on this elsewhere and mentioned it a couple of times in the other threads, but it seems to be an uncommon problem. Can anyone point me in the direction of a possible cause?
    _____
Details: Q10SQN100-3, happened on 10.3.1052, as well as with the 1130 core OS and with the 1154 apps as well.

No, I did a full install of everything, no restores:
Clean Autoloader of .1052 first (multiwiped), bug happened.
Then reloaded .1052 with the .1130 Core, bug still happened.
Then finally reloaded both + the .1154 apps, and it is still happening.

I know a few others who have seen this issue, none of them can think of a possible cause other than "heavy usage".

I cannot believe how few responses this is getting..? Is it really so rare that no one else is noticing this?

Or is it just that no one has found a solution or a cause?

May be an issue with the latest software versions. Have seen this happen. For example, I don't receive instant previews for BBM. Just wait for the next release. When you install pre-release software it's never going to be perfect

I'm having a few sound issues too. After a while my keyboard (on Z30) goes quiet (no more feedback). I also tried playing a game and there was no sound, even after I maxed out the volume.

I'm not surprised that this isn't perfect. My understanding was that they never intended on releasing 10.3.0 to current devices, they would instead only received 10.3.1.

MRGlenn can you check your CPU usage in the battery overview?

Looks pretty normal to me. Never goes beyond 0.xx% for Notifications, System shows around 40% at the most.

RAM Memory does seem odd, fluctuates between 2 and 8 MB, the former being the times when notification sounds stop.

That seems high for a system read out but maybe not. Mine runs normally between 5%-12% most of the time.
I have noticed that the volume on .1154 seems a little low on notifications but maybe it's just me.

That's where the cause for his symptoms lie. I've occasionally experienced this, but it was when I had 10-12 active frames going (specifically some android apps). Close some and all is well.

I haven't had it happen since going to .1154, but I agree it did seem to happen after a high CPU/Memory load.
Closing apps never fixed it for me though, I always had to do a reboot first.

Same problem on 1052. Been running it for approx 2 weeks (multiwipe, autoloader, no restore, no Android apps).

Rarely have more than 1 frame open. Also hard to buy the "it's beta" argument. Seriously, why would core functionality not work?

Spoke to soon, still happens on .1154. Was just testing a game for someone, so again high CPU load seemed to interfere with the notifications.

OK, so I spilled a lil tea on my Z10 on Sat afternoon, I have both a soft & hard cover on my z10, only the screen got wet. it seemed ok, dried it off, - and it continued to work fine. But since this morning, it goes into Silent mode all by itself. I have done a restart and battery removal a few times today, but it still keeps happening. My volume buttons do not seem to be working properly: my up volume button will sometimes only do screen captures, my down volume button does not seem to do anything. Each time I reboot, I up the volume, but it seems to go back down after a few secs, all by itself, then to silent mode. I actually watched it happen...weird. Do not have the new release OS, my BB Z10 is open) HELP!!!!....Do I need to get a new one??

Small update on my part: had to do an unrelated reinstall of the OS.

Instead of relying on Sachesi to do it manually, I decided to use an autoloader. And that seems to have improved behaviour tremendously! I know there is not supposed to be a big difference between the two methods but I am noticing some real improvements.

Notifications keep working, Android apps respond better regardless of how many I have, device becomes less hot, BBM lag disappeared. Was worth the reset!

You are comparing a non-destructively updated device (via Sachesi) and a destructively updated device (via an autoloader), I suppose.

Yes, I did a non-destructive update before and had these notification issues.
Now, after the destructive update/reset (only Remember/Password Keeper backup used) everything seems to work wonderfully.
