I had reboots on 2009, zero reboots on 2342 and zero reboots on 2354. I just may keep this VZW-specific 2354 until 10.2 hits.....

ahh, who am I kidding. installing leaks is fun.

Is there a way to move back to 10.0.9.422 if we had to for any reason? I have a black Z10 that is flashed and a white one that is stock because I have a small BB10 pilot and need to keep one on stock VZW software. I'd rather flash the white one to 10.1 to use as my dailer driver and put my black one back to stock.

I know, very lame and vain. :-) Either way, thanks for this new vesion! 2009 was rebooting like mad and I have high hopes for this one.

I think the easiest way would to be to turn your Z10 off and connect it to your computer with BB Link. Then click on the 3 dots in the lower right hand corner. Select "Show Disconnected Devices". Click on the one you want and you should see the option to reload the device software.

If this doesn't work I can give you the instructions on how to download the debrick files through Sachup and create an autoloader for 10.0.9.422.

    Good luck.

Thanks. I will try that. I also just found a post about Sachup and the carrier codes and it looks like I can download the old Verizon software and make an autoloader with that or something. I will try those things out.... beats mowing the lawn...

If you want to use Sachup the Carrier Codes for VZW are 311 (Country) and 480(Carrier). You will need to extract the .signed files from the .bar files you get to make the autoloader.

I'm currently on 2342 as well and get dropped calls out the wazoo. Radio likes to hop around from 1X/x to 3G/g which really puts a damper on my battery life. I am hoping that this new 2354 release fixes all of that!

Edit: So is a security wipe necessary in order for everything to work as it should? I'm running one now just to be sure, I haven't in the past without much issue. Sure does take a while...

Seems like we'll lose all the sms messages because those don't get backed up. Is that right?
Of course they get backed up
What kind of backup doesn't backup SMS
BBM on the other hand has some glitchy backup if you're on BBM beta channel

    Give it a go.
2342 was the build that failed BB internal inspection
2354 is a much more solid build

For US Verizon both 2009 and 2354 are very stable. Both fix random reboots and battery life on 2354 is excellent. My Z10 was unbearable until 2009. And with 2354, it's now amazing - like a whole new phone. Kris and IBFE make installing leaks so easy that suffering with a bad phone is unnecessary. I will never wait for carrier again and always look to leaks for OS updates.

Battery life on this VZW version has been the best yet. I usually plug in my phone at night but forgot to do so last night. The phone has been running on this OS without a recharge for 23 hours and there's still 33% left in the tank. Mind you this is with very light use but it is still waaaayyyyy better than anything else I tried, even with hybrids using the 1917 radio.

I think in the future, I will just wait for 100-4 specific leaks since the ones that are marked as being 2/3/4 may be compatible but don't seem to provide me with the "ideal" OS.

Just wanted to say I am happy, happy, happy with this version. Battery life is better than any other version I have tried so far. I had tried the previously leaked 2354 version that was not Verizon specific and had horrible battery. So bad, in fact, that the phone died in 6 hours with absolutely no use. I have no idea what the problem was but I immediately downgraded to the 1756 version which was stable for me previously and then up to the 2009 version, but then I started getting a lot of dropped calls.

Everything seems to be running exceptionally well. I think I need to stop version hopping and stick with this one for the time being, lol. But then again, I feel so giddy when I get to install a new OS.

Just took the plunge to Leaked . 2354 using the Leaked file "Verizon_BB10_1_0F.2354.524717.exe" . I like how the autoloader worked smoothly and without any issues. Shout out to Kris and all the other developers out there who created the autoloaders. I had taken a full backup of my Z10 using BB Link prior. I then disabled the BB link service and ran the EXE. So far, I am pleasantly surprised and pleased. I did not have an issue with Corporate email using EAS. I noticed some of the fields changed so I adapted and it connected successfully to both my Corp E-mail and personal Email. It also maintained all my Music 20+GB worth and didn't wipe that out so that's a bonus.

I'm not sure if this file had a radio upgrade it in? I'm thinking no. The current radio version on my phone was (prior to update) and is 10.1.0.2355 . Anyone know if this is a good one to stay at? I haven't dropped any calls. I'm assuming radio .1917 is earlier than the one that I had/have but saw other people on this forum reporting good luck with it? Others stating they stayed with current default radio (assuming 10.1.0.2355) prior to upgrade worked well too. I'll need more testing for this and I'm sure I'll notice if there's an issue over time.

So, anyone who's not quite sure about the update and don't want to wait for Verizon to get their $h** together, definitely do it. Oh, also a formatting issue was fixed when using POP3 and IMAP SSL E-mail. Before, I used to send emails from my personal e-mail and the format would be messed up every other line there would be an "=" in place of a letter in any particular word. Other's have reported this too and it's on the Blackberry website forums as well. t was annoying. This update resolved that as well. BONUS!

I'm not a firm believe in LEAKS from a trustworthy and reliable source - thanks to Crackberry.com and some good dev members out there.
    Cheers!

I posted this in the other thread but meant it for here:
"I decided to download ibfe's Verizon specific .2354 OS leak. I'm sorry to report it did not work for me on Verizon in Florida. My company emails through Network Solution did not load and would tell me that I was entering the wrong ports. This is the same thing that happened with the original OS. I have since downgraded back to .2009 which seems to have worked best. I still am having dropped calls so I may play around with the radio files. Hopefully 10.2 will be out soon and I can put this to rest. "
