Not really, though you can login to the user portal if they made it available and it will say either bes10 or bes12, but won't tell you what service pack or maintenance pack it's on, you'd have to ask your BES admin / IT department about that. From the activation email, I'd be fairly sure you're running BES10 of some form though unless they created custom activation email templates and left them referring to bes10
Got it. Will check with our IT Admin and see if we really are on BES 10 or BES 12.

I looked around, but i don't see anywhere on the BES to allow older / unsecure SSL versions in the BES policy, where do I go to change this?

Additionally, how do I upgrade the SSL on the mail server? We're still using exchange 2010.
It is in the policies. But wait, maybe only in bes12...

Where exactly can I find this? I've tried searching for SSL versions all over the BES and all I can find is it under the email policy for IOS/Android.

If its only for BES 12.1, is there an alternative for BES 10?

Is anyone else getting this issue in 10.3.2.500 -
When you turn on Location Services and then turn off the Traffic Data Collection (which automatically gets turned on after doing the former one), close Settings menu (or go one step back). Then come back in Location Services portal, you see 'Traffic Data Collection' still ON

Enterprise IM issue has been there since 10.3.1.xxx version when BlackBerry fixed the SSL Freak security hole.

I'm running. 500, on BES and have Enterprise IM working. It was temperamental trying to authenticate the first few times, but once I got a successful login, it's been great since.

I did a clean "destructive" install because I screwed up the non destructive attempt .

You have posted this same problem in 3 different threads - this is a CB "no-no", just so you are aware.

And posting in this thread which is about a specific and different topic is considered "hijacking the thread" which is also not looked upon kindly in the CB world - again, just so you are aware.

And it was not my intention to "bust your chops" - I know you are a relatively new member on CB, and have only done a few posts - I was just helping you learn the ropes.

And BTW - welcome to Crackberry!

I am not at my desk at the moment, but imho:

    Go to policy's and settings
First option on the left side should by policys
    Open the desired policy
Click on the top ride side on edit
    Scroll down, select Blackberry
Search for 'ssl' or 'accept ' or something like this via strg-f in your browser.

I will return to my office on the 13th, I can post a screenshot then.

Ahhh, and it is BES 12.1.1

On BES 10.2 MR5 the setting is to allow untrusted ssl certificates under the Security tab of the policy. Apparently this is due to 10.3.2.500 not accepting older encryption types for ActiveSync.

The issue is that the OS is now asking for sha256 and a valid certificate chain, where before it would accept sha1 and apparently didn't check the chain. This is a GOOD change, sha1 certs are no longer issued by the public cas and there is no MITM Protection if the chain is not checked.

Interesting part is we have a valid Entrust cert that uses SHA256 and the is a valid chain but still could not get Activesync to work until enabling the untrusted certificates. Even manually imported specific certs from the chain as a test still didn't like it...Entrust apparently has a relatively new L1K intermediate that I thought might be the issue but still nada till the policy change.

    Strange

"Allow SSL v3 in the work browser" is the only result that shows up. It is 12.1.1 as well.

I am also experiencing a similar issues. My BES profile pushes a wi-fi profile for the office. This profile typically gets pushed and loaded with a CA certificate. On 10.3.2.500, the CA certificate field is greyed out and I can't populate it. However the certificate does get pushed to my device as can be seen in the certificate store. So because of this, I can't connect to the office wi-fi.
