For me WAZE was a huge drain although it's a fantastic application.
The best workaround for this is an in-car charger.

Yup I use an in-car charger but wanted to test the battery life of the 228 OS. It didn't do well using Waze. After my road trip, I won't need to use Waze so I'll see how the batter does with just regular app use.

I'm switch back to 10.1. I'm trying to turn everything off (LTE, wifi, Twitter, Facebook) but this phone still getting useful as I turn all these things off to preserve battery. Plus it's not working.

Not sure what you mean about Bluetooth working correctly - what is the error condition? For me, paired with a Bose SoundLink (speakers), BlackBerry speakers and my PC - all works as expected.

I had the same issue with all of the 10.2 leaks..
The device was drained in 4 to 5 hours and the phone was extremely hot.

But the Autoloder for 10.2.0.93 which Wigley leaked has been doing great for me, performance + battery life. The only issue is with Whatsapp dissaparing from the hub and sound not coming from some games.. am pretty impressed with that leak...

    Hi there!
I got .228 installed on my unlocked Q10 (100-3) with .340 radio. It runs quite smoothly BUT:

    1. Whatsapp won't show in hub after reboot. (We already knew that).
    2. Weather app does not launch.
    3. BlackBerry World app is laggy and erratic.
    4. My BB10 games are just mute: no sound effects, no background music. On contrast, the Android games I sideloaded run absolutely great.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issues?
Any clue to have these fixed?

Of course, I have already fixed my Weather and BlackBerry World apps problem, by installing substitutes from 10.1. But the sound issue happens to be trickier!

I don't have any games to experiment with but the BBWorld I took from .341files.zip (posted elsewhere) fixed all my problems there. I tried starting up AngryBirds SPace and got no sound at all. I wonder what changed in the gaming engine?

Whatsapp, in general, is really buggy - causes hangs and crashes of 10.1 devices - so that may be part of the problem in general.
The weather app I never really used - but it still crashes even with the .341 files - I use BeWeather instead which works perfectly for what I need.

This is an Alpha build of course - many months in advance of when it is due out. Already they are planning a maintenance release of 10.1 which will come out before our Alpha get updates.

I am running 10.2.0.228 with all the updated files from .341 applications

Thanks for you post. Any chance you can remember where you got the .341 applications from? Will they work on my SQN 100-3?

Contacts are screwey as well. Sometimes they appear, disappear and I have a growing list of ghost contacts. See attached pic. Even after I delete these ghost contacts, they end up coming back and multiply.

just noticed this morning that my Facebook app will not show anything in my news feed. Says FACEBOOK did not return any stories. Tap to retry. Everything else, like friends list and groups, nearby and things like that work fine.

here is another good battery performance, 10 hours of use (facebook, cb, bbm group of 4, total calls of an hour) in 3G/2G combination (no wifi) and I still have 49% battery left.

My issues are the same (can't restore my backup data)

I installed the OS 10.2.0.228 and unfortunately the device does not respond well enough as a version 10.1.0.2354

    The following are existing problems:

    1. See attached picture - check disappears after reboot but occasionally returns.
    2. The whatsapp not ring and there is no indication of a new message, as well as not detect all contacts.
    3. High battery consumption.
    4. I am connected to BES and emails arrive late.

    1. Just swipe down from the battery icon, it will present you with another graph type of thing, swipe again and it is gone. [Thanks, Kris!]

    2. Don't use WhatsApp, and I was getting ALL notifications, as well as being able to 'detect' my contacts.

    3. We are 2 different breeds, I'm running a Q10. Can't speak for why your battery consumption is high. [I have a battery charger + spare battery SHOP CRACKBERRY kicks @$$]

    4. Unfortunately I don't have an answer to that conundrum.

Try deleting Foursquare. My battery life dropped dramatically a few days ago, about the time I loaded the T-Mobile wifi calling app and had to do a security wipe and OS reload. It didn't help the battery, so last night I deleted a couple things, FourSquared and Angry birds space. The battery seems better today.

I've never noticed this before, but it I hold the middle bar on an incoming call (when the Swipe down to answer animation plays) I get a "Swipe up to reply" option which looks like an automated sms option. Anyone else seen this before?

Won't FourSquared just get pushed back by the carrier? Better yet - is there any way to prevent deleted apps from getting reloaded automatically by a carrier update?
