I was wondering if it's possible to pull the android runtime files from 2336 so I can side load on my z30 running 858. Is this possible? If so which bar files do I need? Thanks.

sys.android, and sys.android.shell are the two files you need. SLIGHT jump in version from 10.3.2.110 to 10.3.2.148. You probably won't notice a difference.

When OS versions are very close, you can usually interchange runtimes. When they get a little wider apart, you can't as there are hooks in the core OS that won't play nice anymore.

Thanks. I just noticed that android apps run faster in 2336 so I want to give it a try. I can't run 2336 OS because it's just laggy on my phone. Not sure how other uses are claiming it's smooth. My phone just doesn't like it.

I meant 2339. The SR and OS numbers get me confused with all the builds lol.

The differences between 840/858/2204/2252/2339 are fairly small. It's hard to imagine one causing your phone to lag, and the others not. Something may have happened during your install of 2339.

I did the non destructive to 2339. Maybe I should multi wipe and autoload 2339. Worth a try. Didn't want to go through backup and restore.

I guess I can try a multi wipe and autoloader to 2339 as I did a non destructive. Didn't wanna go through backing up and restoring. Really need that extra performance for the android apps I noticed on 2339.

How long does it take for a install from a wipe to settle in?

Still nice to know that BlackBerry are working on the runtime. Every little bit helps. Even if it's 1fps better

Don't bother with a multiwipe - it's pure placebo. Just run the autoloader.

I usually go through the setup screens and then put the phone down for about 30 minutes. Then setup your accounts. As soon as your current system cpu settles to around 6%, it's done. I only have one email to sync (with contacts and calendar), so it only takes a matter of minutes for me.

I wouldn't bother with a wipe and reload, just be patient, I did non destructive from 2339 to 858 and back to 2339 again, no issues, the settling time was quite a few hours though.

OK so I just ran the auto loader and let it sit like conite suggested. Setup everything. So far so good. Maybe the non destructive to 2339 was causing my problems before.

    Yup that can happen sometimes...

Autoloaders can fix most software issues with your device
