When I set my phone to vibrate or silent my BBM messages still have sound. I created a custom profile, turned the sound off and turned on vibrate, now there is no sound but it also doesn't vibrate.

This is killing me in meetings and I'm close to reverting back to 10.2, any ideas?

I've tried rebooting and don't have any special contact profiles set up.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Not sure, I didn't set that on my own but where would I find that option?

Settings > notifications > your profile > customize app notifications > BBM > override profile volume.

If that's ticked, then, well, it will ignore your profile settings and still ring.

Oddly enough, BBM is not in the list of applications. I only see BBM video.

Should it be there? If so, maybe I need to reinstall BBM? If that's the case how would I do that properly?

    Thanks again,
    Mike

I had a similar issue with the official release of 10.3 for the passport, 10.3.0.908 I think it was.

My default email account was giving a sound notification when before the OS upgrade I had the sound notification turned off. I checked the notification settings and the account wasn't even listed there or in the email account settings So I posted about it here in crackberry and nobody responded. Ending up just putting up with it and eventually installed the 10.3.1.1154 leak and the problem went away.

This doesn't really help you but I can confirm that it can happen.

Try the Reset Apps button in your profile. This should realign them to the profile.

For me "Notifications" is not in the list of applications as in the previous build. With blackbullet running in the background, it can get extremely irritating! This, amongst other bugs. I hope this ain't the official OS. Autoloader with no backup restore, contacts and remember notes restored via exchange. Z30STA100-6/10.3.1.2072

Have you tried turning on meetings mode and then changing the settings there though you have to have scheduled the meeting on your calendar though most of my work meetings are sent to me as an calendar invite.

Unfortunately non of this works so I'll have to deal with it.

Thanks everyone, let me know if you can think of anything else.

I found the same thing but on an earlier leak. This was caused by restoring settings. I ended up having to reload again, but this time without restoring the settings. Not sure if you restored settings or not, but if you did, this is likely the cause.

I used the blitz method to load the leak, is there any way to reload bbm by itself without wiping the phone? It seems to be the only app that ignores my profile settings.

    Thanks again,
    Mike

I appreciate all of the help. I was able to get this resolved by extracting the blitz .zip file and dragging the bbm app into sachesi with the "only install newer apps" box unchecked.

This basically reinstalled bbm and now the notifications are working properly without having to wipe my phone.

As a side note, doing this deleted my bbm conversation history. You should be able to use an app to back up the history and restore after if you see that being an issue.
