I have had bad battery performance since upgrading my radio from 1899 to 1926 on AT&T in the Washington DC area.

Here is my performance since i took my Z10 off charger until last night at 3 AM when gave up and put it back on the charger. You see some subsequent performance as I was driving around and using my device today:

    Attachment 240502

Checking my battery history I see Standby is a leading depletor which is surprising to me:
    Attachment 240504

I'm not sure why Standby is eating so much battery.

I tried a suggestion I saw where I pulled the battery for an hour and also pulled the charger at 5% to go and re-plug it. To say I was skeptical as a systems engineer was an understatement, but low and behold I am seeing battery drain rates I haven't seen since the 10.1 MR... to say I an astonished that this worked is an understatement...

Now... how I can reproduce this with the Z30 remains to be seen. :-)

If you are talking to me, I drained the phone almost to 0% and then pulled the battery (after shutting down the phone) for an hour plus. Then once I put the battery back in I charged it to ~95%, pulled the charger for a few minutes and then put it back in. Now I am getting battery performance like this:

    1926 Radio For Q10/5. Z10 1/2/3/4 / Z30-img_20140124_073217.png

I wish I could explain how this effectively doubled the life of my phone. Right now the phone has been off the charger almost 24 hours and it is at 48% with light use.

There is nothing special about the BlackBerry supplied USB cable that I am aware of, so perhaps your other USB cable has some minor issues.

Yeah,it was weird. The samsung cable had no issues or fraying signs. Maybe the BB cable has some wiring thats proprietary to it. All I know is that it works.

Conversely perhaps there is something unique with your Samsung cable. I used a 3rd party cable to sync my device just fine.

Either way I am glad it's working for you.

The official released version downgraded me to 1899 radio!

The leak version of that radio was dreadful for my Q10... so I will see how this get on.

Please update after a few days. Wondering if they tweaked the 1899 radio for the release and hopefully it is better now. I am using 1926 but if the 1899 is better for carrier then will downgrade.

I was on the 1899 radio and got a small update from Rogers early this morning. Checked and I'm still on 1899 - so the radio file was not updated for me.

Blockbuy, I'm having the same issue with the red blinking light after running the autoloader for .1926. I even created an .1899 autoloader using CAP55 but to no avail.

How did you resolve your issue?

Is there a way to sideload this? Cause I have read somewhere that after an OTA or via link update (Non-Destructive), and use the radio autoloader, it will bricked your phone.

That was true in at least one instance back in 10.1.0.xxxx, can't recall which one. It bricked mine. Since 10.2.0 I haven't heard that. Better to have a backup, though, and an autoloader ready, or to make an autoloader of the radio bar w Sachesi and autoload the radio that way. That should not brick it.

Yeah but what I read is that it's on 10.2.1.
I'm thinking of upgrading the radio but when I saw that I changed my mind.

please which of the autoloader did you use for your Z30 cos i tried this https://mega.co.nz/#!HxJiHARJ!UOaQVx...JHXDY_y8oZqLmc and the other and i still have the blinking red light please help me ( BLACKBERRY Z30 SAT100 -2)

I've just loaded the Z30 radio - testing the device now. W00t!

Update - All seems to be working fine so far

Just run the autoloader with your device connected - it won't destroy any data.

Except that Sachesi and Darcy's tool use a previous version of CAP that supposedly doesn't work with this newest radio file. So, your "backup" autoloader won't save you. In fact, even with the correct CAP version, the autoloader won't work.

How do I know this? Let's just say I'm re-learning to love my launch day Bold 9900 while my launch day Z10 red blinks itself to death and I search for a working radio autoloader.

I just used the Autoloader I have for the 1926 radio and it worked fine without bricking the phone. I did take a backup before just in case but I think all is good. This is the Autoloader I used - https://mega.co.nz/#!x19ijRoT!sHsUiu...N0i11Rftb-PMYw
