Does anyone have extreme battery drain at startup irrespective of the radio version? I have had 1926 and reverted to 1899 but have similar thing. My battery says 90% and then after boot it drops anywhere 10-20%. I am thinking it is the sensor that reads the battery as I also have the Mugen 3800Mah battery too which can sit on 0% for a whole day and still work!! LOL

Does this actually improve battery for Q10?

Gonna install leak OS tonight and I've seen multiple things about staying with original radio and switching to .1926

I was going to say it's random, but that's not true. The combination of where we all live and our carrier signal strength has a lot to do with it. Since its so easy and risk free to try both radios, start with 1926 and see. Only takes 5 mins to go back to 1899

Do you happen to know how to return to an old radio file if 1926 takes a turn for the worst?

Of course. The search feature is your friend my man. Just search for the 1899 radio. The thread title starts with "Legend presents"

1926 is better than 1889 but still has occasional problems on vzw with a Q10, with the latest leak. I occasionally lose network connectivity for blackberry world and my web browser

1926 is the first radio I have flashed so I can't say if it is aa smaller file size than previous radio files? But if it is, then that is likely due to a simple compressing of the file.

I uninstalled LINE messenger (installed via Snap from Google Play) and my battery life improved drastically. Check that you do not have messenger apps running 24/7.

The issue with battery drain may well be caused by poor behaving apps. Just a thought.

The radio files are small because they are just the files needed to operate the radio portion of the phone's hardware.

An analogy would be be a driver update in Windows, where you just download the driver file for the part of the computer that needs a driver update, rather than reloading the whole Windows OS.

I have had bad battery performance since upgrading my radio from 1899 to 1926 on AT&T in the Washington DC area.

Here is my performance since i took my Z10 off charger until last night at 3 AM when gave up and put it back on the charger. You see some subsequent performance as I was driving around and using my device today:

    1926 Radio For Q10/5. Z10 1/2/3/4 / Z30-img_20140121_105035.png

Checking my battery history I see Standby is a leading depletor which is surprising to me:

I'm not sure why Standby is eating so much battery.

What's your experience people with loading .1926 radio for Z10 STL100-1? With .1899 it seems that battery is average.
