Good work. I have to admit though that without the install portion it is only 50% there. Once the install portion is working, this will be awesome.

I agree. I simply don't have the resources though to run a VPN to let OTA installations happen, and with it being a free app that won't change (I also am not entirely sure how to set that up). So hopefully BlackBerry will change that for us at some point.

With this will I be able to search for 'old' OS versions as well? For example I might want to find an older camera or clock version, will that be possible?
Or is it just to search the current carrior OS versions?

If there's a way to search for a specific OS I'm not aware of it. Right now it just returns the most recent OS released for the carrier you input an MNC/MCC for.

That's what localbar did, you could use a proxy on the same wifi network to install a bar. I'm not sure JavaScript is up to that task though.

    Evening.
Downloaded the App and it runs fine on 10.2.1.1925

Well i dont have use for it now but who knows what the future brings.

I like that it Auto-Detect the Settings for my Country Carrier. I assume there is some kind of a Auto-Device-Detection as it selects a specific Device right after startup? However: I have Z10-STL100-2 but it detects/select Z10-STL100-3

"Straight to Point Interface": I like it.

Nope i am not complaining. Just to want to "Report" it in the case it could be a (very minor) Bug.

Thanks and keep up the good work

Unfortunately for Device, no. It defaults to STL100-3 the first time you run the app. I wanted to add something for that, but the closest I could do was detect if the device was a Z10, Q10, Q5, Z30, etc. That doesn't help much when there's several versions of each model :/
Once you've selected a device however, each launch after that will default to the device you last selected.

Would a hardware ID check work?

Yes it would (the hardware ID is actually part of the call to the BlackBerry Server, and is the value passed by the drop down that you select your device in), but AFAIK WebWorks doesn't have any way to get the hardware ID. The closest that I found was https://github.com/blackberry/WebWor...B10/deviceInfo

I will keep looking though, and if I find a way to do it I will

Thank you for this very nice app! Version 0.1.0.0 works ok on my Z10STL100-3/10.2.0.1803.

Please consider for possible future enhancements:
    1. Let the user specify a different folder to accumulate downloaded .bar files.
    2. Let the user select multiple files to download.
    3. Provide a pick-list of MCC/MNC numbers translated to names.

Here's the thing, why come here to say it's useless?

What if I have a vpn/proxy and can use it to do ota installation of bars? It's not useless to me, then there are those who probably don't have an Internet service for their pc, but they have 4G on their phones, useless for them? Or what about those who choose to pay for Sideswype or barinstall in order for do ota bar install, useless for them?

It's useless for you because you can't have ota bar installation, maybe you have an Internet service at home. But that's the thing, your not entitled to speak as if the app us useless on the whole.

    Updated!
0.2 lets you search for a specific OS via its Release Version. OP has been updated with the new download links.
I also created a form for anyone to submit a MCC/MNC combo. If I get a decent list, I'll add that to the app. The form is at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1lNs...87lFc/viewform

Lol was wondering what happened to my participated threads. Did my posts not post or did the moderators deem all my comments inflammatory compared to SirJes's?

Great app, appreciate the effort and the fact you sharing it with the community.

Ha, it's funny, some moderator actually gave me an infraction.

Let me be clear (I thought I was), I'm very impressed with the quality of the application. I continue to question it's usefulness, but I hope it inspires OP to greater things.

Nothing wrong with being honest and polite.
