APK can be repackaged into BAR, not the opposite. Sideloading is easy with Sachesi. Get it.

It's strange really that Android seems to be the only OS that has that flaw. webOS (RIP ), LuneOS, BB10, SailfishOS, Symbian (RIP), Windows Phone, Windows 10 Mobile, Maemo (RIP), MeeGo (RIP), iOS... they all can do it.

It's on purpose, it's a "feature" for YouTube red subscribers.

Great question. I was wondering the same thing as I was test-driving a Priv. The lack of BlackBerry apps (and the user experience overall) was part of the deal breaker that left that device sitting on the store shelf. Apps that I'd like to see ported to Priv (and looking/working like they do on BB10) include: browser, calculator, and music player (although, honestly there are 2 things that I want improved in that app: DLNA support and grouping Genres by album). Blend and Travel would also be nice, but they aren't daily drivers for me. Beyond that, a bit more BB10 look and feel would be great, but I can understand why BB went with more of a "stock Android" experience.

Of course, simply bringing BB10 to Priv would be even better! :-)

It was discovered long ago that the BlackBerry browser bar file is only for the UI part of the browser. The functional part of the browser is built into the main OS. It can't be extracted separately.

I do want blackberry browser on Android phone as well.
    You ask me why?
It's light, remembers passwords, form fillings, runs full screened, suggest paste icon on text box tap. That's I what I need on my daily routine. Yes it's simple webkit, but it's working the way I need.
Hate chrome, opera is limited, Firefox is too heavy, dolphin is even heavier!

Would use my beloved z30, but lack of Lithuanian input, bizarre viber work and very limited smart watch support just turns me of. Sorry for that, blackberry, I'm off.

Another thing. The apps, like password keeper, browser, especially HUB are super duper apps, would buy it if it's would be available on Google play. Do that, extra cash, isn't?
