Just installed the latest 10.3 leak and am loving it. One of the features that I like, and didn't think I would, is the blank home screen.

My question is, is there a way to disable to date that is displayed on the screen?

I don't get it. The date is already displayed in the top right corner, why display it again in the middle of the screen? It doesn't serve any functional purpose and just detracts from the image on the screen.

I kinda like the date there. I have looked at it on occasion to find out the date of the day it was

Keep an app minimized and the date won't be there.

I like it as well but would like to change the font color and add the time below it. Yes I know it is the top but my eyes are not what they used to be

I also like the date. You mentioned a date in the corner of this screen, I don't have this function.
Only places I see the date is on the lock screen and the home screen

Or when you swipe down to open the quick settings menu. Bit I find that tedious.

It's nice that so many like having this date, but I'm with you and would like to remove it. I use family photos as wallpaper. The date goes right across their faces. Did you ever find out how to remove the date?

There is an app that will create an empty frame that when minimized will do what you want. It's in BlackBerry World but I don't remember the name.

I agree wholeheartedly! Give us an option to remove the date from the Home screen. It is annoying that it overlays the top of your screen wallpaper. I have the Z30 and if I want to see the date/time I just swipe down from the top of my home screen. It's redundant. Hoping for a fix in the next BB10 update.
