    Because those things aren't simple?

In reality, there's such things as contracts, agreements and lawyers that prevent the Android runtime from being more than a band-aid.
Exactly, however is the run time also a legal agreement as is that open source? I an thinking not, as I remember that fire phone via amazon had to run on JB RT also so seems google thought ahead and with kit kat and above started RT blocking!...

It already exists. 10.3.3 is coming. Real question is, will it fix anything outside of adding NIAP Certification and aside from the already confirmed 10.3.4, what comes after that?
Blaze, is there still the problem of not being able to delete the android apps from the android runtime? I have been waiting for them to fix this for quite a while now. I have some issues with GPS android Apps that don't work with my radar det. And need to patch it somehow which is also confusing to me. Don't know if I can patch to existing app on my Passport? They should have fixed this by now!

According to the Spotted OS thread, it seems that they still are working in a regular basis.
Did you get a newer version to test by any luck? (Still didn't notice something new or better?)

PS: Thanks to keep us updated!

by June the development probably reach OS-10.3.3.1033 that would be above the .1000 mark and therefore without the PIN on the screen, which looks OK to me ;-)
Looks like that everything going after schedule by BB

They really haven't been following the "pin watermarks until build 1000" in some time now. They've been dropping the watermarks much earlier beginning with 10.3.0. Carriers began officially releasing 10.3.2 while in the 800 builds. I think the watermarks were dropped in 10.3.1 while still in the 600 builds.

Only need larger battery, more memory, and more CPU cores with faster speed cause android sucks. It's worst mobile OS. IOS and even Win10 are far better. BB10 is best. Can do more, faster, than alk the rest.
