This is what I've been saying.

So far their 'committment' to BB10 has been flat out nothing more than them repeatedly claiming that they are committed to BB10. Empty words and broken promises. March? June? July? Now August?

That's some kind of committment. Imagine what it'd be like if they really didn't care that much about BB10, what'd that look like?

BlackBerry, how about you stop telling me how committed you are, and actually show me some of that committment?

And if the problem is truly, honestly, that 10.3.3 is held up waiting for NIAP... then damn well release it anyways and say "NIAP is dragging their feet, here's 10.3.3 and we'll give you NIAP with 10.3.4." or whatever.

Just give us some actions rather than more empty words.

Sorry, I got into a bit of a rant there.
    Nicely said.

If they'd spend their time doing nothing, then I wonder why we see so many new builds popping up in the Latest spotted OS thread. Or are they compiling the same code over and over and give it a higher build number just to tease us?

Posted via CB10 using BlackBerry Passport (OG Red)
I'm assuming at least some of the builds that are shown don't actually function, like bootloop or RIL or GPS issues. They most likely are getting restricted by the NIAP certification as one lazy piece of code is a security issue. They have to work around it. Most of the builds are probably the same code with a higher build number and maybe one or two changed files in the source code. Pretty much the same code a before. A working 10.3.3 build has probably been made for many months now, it just hasn't been secured enough for NIAP certification which they promised would be added to the next update. That's why they haven't released it yet.

Just to add to what's been said already, at least one 10.3.3 release reintroduced the 'broken' ART so they have probably put out several releases just to try and get it working again. For a 'software' company they sure seem to lack a lot of basic competency.

Buy a PRIV. BlackBerry will have Android 7.0 Nougat on a device before 10.3.3.

No, I think I'd prefer another manufacturer; one that seems to have more life in it. Don't believe I'm brave enough to spend (read as waste) more money on another BlackBerry device...

I no longer wait for these updates. Since they bring nothing new. I'd rather hope for some native good apps. Maybe an update of the Android Runtime would be OK.

Priv needs it 'cause even with BlackBerry's modifications Android's still less secure than BB10 and more and more Android apps get incompatible with lower versions unlike most BB10 apps. Not that I'm defending their priorities, just stating an obvious fact...

Fair point but Blackberry should not forget or mislead it's OS 10 customers, we have been quoted release dates that are now plainly well overdue and frankly a joke impo

Beginning to loose faith in Blackberry and with my device renewal approaching strongly now thinking of switching brand completely after over 12yrs being a Blackberry customer!!!

I am a professional. BlackBerry would have the public believe they address the needs of professionals. Being late is counter-productive & unprofessional. The general demeanor of a corporate structure emanates from the top management. That is why BlackBerry has failed.
This has been the BlackBerry way from since I could remember yet we wait; I wait patiently to experience just how much more productive my Passport will be on its Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor... some other, even cheaper devices run on an Octa-core 820-821 processor.

The snapdragon 800 is enough power, it's the lack of apps that is the main problem. My Q5 has 2GB of RAM and it still runs faster than my friend's galaxy s7 with 4GB of RAM and the snapdragon 820 on stock. Blackberry has done great things with optimizing their OS, but they did not focus on getting apps to the platform. If they spent more money on bringing apps to BB10 and have them be continuously updated, BB10 would still be thriving, now it's on its last legs.

I still don't get that CPU problem people keep bringing up. Yes, the Passport has an older processor. But it's still very fast and more than enough for daily usage. Btw, even the new Galaxy S7 has an old processor 'cause there are already newer faster professors. So even that high-end phone is deprecated after so little time.

Bottom line: stop whining about the CPU and enjoy your Passport.

10.3.3 has same excellent support as Blend. Part of a new BB10 strategy that will also include new BB10 device. It will be offered first on Verizon as Z30 replacement in bundle with PlayBook 2.

    It's a "we're focused on Android" delay.
Don't worry, though. BlackBerry is committed to BB10.
