I was wondering... and perhaps you'll found this a silly question; but anyway. Since the days that we were waiting for 10.3.1, it was said that branch would be the end of support for at least z10's and q10's on the OS side. I know those rumors were just rumors, but it was at least a logic thing to expect. But then, the leaked files of 10.3.2 prove those rumors wrong in a way, because almost all devices could install those files (except my beloved Stl 1). Anyway, my question is, anyone has any knowledge about all devices (including the oldest bb10 devices) being supported for 10.3.2? it comes with great features, and looks very promising. Would be awesome if the leaked files from weeks ago means that all bb10 devices would be supported on the official 10.3.2 release

Typical tech support cycle is 3 years. So regardless of what version comes out next, Z10 and Q10 will likely stop being support at around 3 years since launch.

All BB10 devices are still supported and will be for the foreseeable future. Never pay attention to rumors online.

It's specs that are supported moreso than the devices themselves. As long as BlackBerry has new devices like the Classic and Leap running the same processor and RAM as the Z10 and Q10, they're committing them to at least another upgrade cycle or two.

To that point, I don't think BlackBerry is interested in alienating any more of their users at this point. I believe they will adopt the iOS model where they will push out OS updates to devices as long as they can, even if that means the bolder devices don't get all the latest bells and whistles in the OS.

I thought the rumor was 10.3.... Not specifically 10.3.1. I think that guy who started the rumors was saying that they wouldn't be getting 10.4...

why support the Classic but not the Z10 when their specs are almost the same. It just wouldn't be right.

10.3.2 right now does not amount to that much. A couple new features and hopefully lots of bug fixes.

What you guys must remember is, if there aren't drastic changes to the hardware, there isn't much of a reason to drop support on the software side.

The Passport isn't that different from a Z10 hardware wise on the bits that matter for the OS.

Sure, I bet the day BB10 goes octacore or 64bits, Z/Q10/5/3/30 will all not get the bulk of the OS, just some minor update, while the new devices will see the full fledged new OS.

Pretty much what happens with Apple hardware. So let us worry when the time is due.
