I was having the problem mentioned with the apps and just fixed it. Also I notice I can toggle on and off the permissions on android apps, which was impossible before.

The constant software update notification in the hub is getting annoying after changing the android runtime. Keeps wanting to upgrade those files.

Amazon Kindle app with Encryption turned on still kills the phone. CPU runs all the time and battery runs down in a couple of hours. Have to remove Kindle or turn off Encryption. This has been a problem since just before the PRIV was released on this and previous build at least. .

Here you go! I can do this after backing up my files and doing a full restore (deleting everything and then restoring from that backup) apps that were installed after the restore I can't toggle off (example: amazon app store). It also happened with Manga Rock but I'm going to try and do the same thing to see if it works.

Trying to erase the affected android bars I could only delete the android.shell bar the other didn't (using DBBTools). The vast majority of apps I use when traveling are already baked into the OS or are being updated constantly in BBW. So I'm good in that sense.
Still, the OS feels great. I installed it on my old Z10 which I'm using it as my travel phone. I'm in no hurry to update my Passport unless there are significant advances.

I've seen this in recent builds, so it's not all that new. Some android apps can have some permissions set (beyond the "run when minimized", which can be set for all apps), but not all. For example, I found 2 of my android apps can actually set the shared files permission through the BB10 app permission settings, but not any of the other 30 or so android apps I have.

And, neither of the two that I can set actually use the shared files for anything.

I also have noticed this. Before yesterday my battery life went from 100% to about 60% in less than 2 hours.

This and the last leaks always have WebRTC enabled in browser by default. Even when manually disabled it turns back on after a while

I just reverted to the older Android files as well. Battery life was disappointing, and I hope this has fixed it. If not, back to the last release.

I've not noticed any more battery drain with 2836. I haven't even reverted the Android bars back to 2813. Been running it since Wednesday.

I'm preparing a Z30 for sale (replacing it whith the white version) and I want to confirm that 2813 is the best version to put on the sold Z30? Seems the autoloader link is down so I'm going to use blitz if the reset doesn't pull that version.

Same here, initially had worse battery life that .2813 so tried a radio swap which made no difference.

Although I don't run any Android Apps I installed the .2813 bars and now all is good.

Went back to the original Radio too which seems to be OK

Thanks! I've noticed same problem with running Android specifically with Viber which keeps crashing. I tried to install an older version of Viber with thought that it was because of the Viber update but found that Viber couldn't be removed even after having the icon deleted. Will try with the older Android runtime and report later today.

That would be the Software Update function trying to keep your SR 10.3.2.2836 current. I think there is no user setting that would turn off the behavior.

Do you already have it sold? Is it a -5? PIM me? I'll be at work today, but will, at least, see it tonight?
