After installing 2339 on my 30 it took about 24 hours to settle. During that time it was hot and ate through the battery like crazy. After that, back to normal.

Agreed, it is noticeably poor on my Z30 with Bell. I changed the Radio only to 859 last night and I'm getting better battery life. I think WiFi is the main culprit. Anyway, it's better now versus using the released version of the Radio that was pushed out OTA.

It doesn't seem to make too much difference compared to previous releases.

Upgraded to 2339 from 858 the day it was available. All of a sudden, I was getting dropped calls like crazy, losing reception in areas that never gave me that problem before. Simply switched to 859 radio, and since then, not ONE dropped call in the last TWO WEEKS. As far as I'm concerned, case closed.

I have Z30 and have gone through several Sachesi upgrades over the past year. Battery performance was getting worse and worse with each release. I went to .2339 and battery life really suffered and also ran hot. I dropped back to the .841 radio and continue to experience battery and heat issues, thought he signal seemed better.

Earlier this week I finally bit the bullet and did and autoloader install to the latest .2339 release and have reinstalled all my applications. The effort was worth it as my phone has been acting like new again!! Issues with my dialer being slow to accept / make calls is gone...searching photos is much faster, android performance is very good...Battery performance is MUCH better.

If you have been using the Sachesi or Darcy tools for nondestructive upgrades repeatedly and you're seeing issues, I highly recommend a fresh installation and clean out the cobwebs! You'll be amazed at how good this release is.

This release has been the best one so far for me. Battery life is excellent. The only issue had been is slight delay when connecting to the cellular network, but no dropped calls and wifi connectivity is as good as ever.

On the att passport here. When I first installed 2339 via autoloader, the first 24 hours, the battery died incredibly fast. Then after that, it has been the best battery life I have had yet. Connectivity is better than the 858 that att released officially. The os has wayyyyy better battery life when using android apps too. I used to stream spotify at work and I would have to plug my phone in at the end of the day. Now it barely takes the battery down and I get a whole day to a day and a half running Android apps. I was skeptical at first with all the reviews of the bad battery life, but I am glad I switched. Sorry to hear all the negative effects to others, but I am glad it went great for me.

I tried different radios but my battery life was very poor. So i decided to try the autoloader method.

After settling down, my battery life is amazing. When I used Blitz method, my battery will be about 45 drained leaving it overnight.

It was 90% when I woke up this morning. This screenshot was taken after installing a few apps and replying to to whatsapp and email messages.

For what it's worth, I've loaded the 2339 build(clean, destructive, what ever you wanna call it) and get the best battery life that I've ever received from any build. With heavy usage that includes three different email sync's two twitter accounts, hot spot running for my ****tly laptop, and phone calls I can get a full day of use without worrying about when I need to charge.

BaSa is Battery Analyser software. The best in BlackBerry World and one of the best across all the mobile OS'es.
You keep it in Active frame at all times and setup it up so it shows current and power drain. A must for any BlackBerry phone.
Set it up. Establish baseline drain and then install apps and change settings as you wish. You will be able to see straightaway what is good or bad for your battery life.

You will have fun busting some myths so prevalent on these boards. My favorite one is closing active frames to save battery (most have zero impact). My second favourite is changing leaks all the time and claiming unreal gains in battery life on one version vs the other. To those I say: your phone was messed up to start with, you installed fresh leak, you say it's so good, I say: you only returned to healthy baseline that was always there. In a week time you will litter your phone again and then the next leak will be oh so good. Vicious circle.

I have 3 BB10 phones, using them across 2 continents with different sim cards and installing leaks on all of them. Any issues I had were easy to nail down thanks to BaSa and knowing upfront what my healthy baseline was.
If there is more questions on BaSa I can help with setup as it is a bit overwhelming at start.
I just reinstalled BaSA after reading your post. Could you please share how do I properly setup the baseline as you suggested?

    Ok

I'm having the same battery consumption for 6-8 weeks, for last 3 weeks I'm travelling on several counties in Europe
The huge system, PIM service and SMS will start each time I :
Change mobile operator (in roaming) the PIM services sending so much data that was spending all my 50 MB/day roaming rate
Put or change SIM card (in each country I bought a local SIM)
When I restart my phone or I loose all the battery

The high activity (100% of CPU) can take from 6 to 20 hours
The only way I found to resolve it temporary is switching off my Z30 for at least 8 hours
I have to do something as soon I get back to Spain.

    Hi. Sure.
Did you get paid version of BaSa? Free version has locked out some features that we need.
Ideally you should start with Autoloader. Can you do that?

That means can you Reload the OS with Autoloader? So you have fresh install.
But actually maybe let's start with checking BaSa. Are you having problems with battery life? Or do you just want to setup BaSa so it's useful for you?
What phone and OS you have?

Actually at this point I'm not planning to reload the OS. Did a fresh install after discovering poor battery life when I upgraded through Sachesi, so now I'm on 2339 with 859 radio. Battery life still bad.

Are you saying that in order for me to set the baseline, I need to fresh install the OS?

Ok. We will not reload the OS. Let's start with finding out how bad your battery really is.
What phone an OS you're running?

Set up BaSa as per below screens.

    10.3.2.2339 Poor battery-img_20150820_000003.png

Then temperature in C. Rest of settings for cpu, storage, cellular etc. keep them all off.

Now when you start BaSa and press widgets you should be getting this screen...

    10.3.2.2339 Poor battery-img_20150820_000034.png

Press analyse, you should be getting this screen:

    10.3.2.2339 Poor battery-img_20150731_095036.png

Push time frame and set to 1 day. Then push options and set leftmost symbol for battery as follows: opacity at 0, temperature and power at max. Go back to the graph and push Readout. Set the yellow line at the lowest point for power.Post screen shot of what it looks like here.

Yes. All good. Can you just enlarge the graph to 100% (top right button) and aim the yellow line between 4 and 8 o'clock where the blue line looks the smallest . Need power value from there.
