The camera is one of THE most important feature on a phone for me, I really hope BlackBerry steps it up on this department.
I was at a concert the other night and was choked when I looked at pics from other people's (Android) phones and how good they looked.

I think it really won't because here in Crackberry you upload the image file and not a screen shot where the watermark (if there is) is visible.

BlackBerry by choice. Powered by BlackBerry 10. I choose BlackBerry. Keep moving.

You can't just tap the screen to take a picture anymore!! Both my wife and I hate that. Forced to touch a small box. Very irritating because we miss some of our daughters candid moments fumbling around trying to tap the box we miss half the time. I dropped down to 10.2.1 because of this.

I miss that feature too, and Michael Crewely's channel was full of requests for it in the release build. Don't forget, the play/mute button still takes pictures, more convenient than the screen button.

On Z30STA100-5/10.3.0.296 I find the auto-focus is quite a bit slower than on official OS, anyone agree?

I have a Z10 (on 10.2.1.3175) and a Nokia Lumia 820 with 8.1 DP. Comparing camera results between the two is like night and day. The Nokia takes really clear and vibrant pictures. The video is also very good. I use the beta version of the Nokia Camera, but the stock OS app has also been improved in 8.1.

I take the 820 for picture taking and the Z10 to do "serious" things. I hope BB get 10.3 out asap, but from what I hear installed base will not see 10.3 till end of 2014.

And what's different between 720p, 720p at 60fps and 1080? Anything will be changed in the quality?

Standard frame rates have been around 29/30 (29.97precisely) fps in the US and 60fps will reduce artifacts when viewed in HD. 720p and 1080P are progressive scan formats for HD with 1080p considered full HD. Capturing video at higher frame rates (60fps) or at higher resolutions (1080P) will result in better quality but also much larger file sizes. For the average user you are safe with the standard 720p for smaller file size and good viewing quality. If you are in to editing the 60fps will be useful.

    Good
Even with the normal 720p it's not small size

yes - even at 720p the file will be large. This is a product of the fact that BlackBerry doesn't use the most efficient video compression algorithms to create the MP4 file. MP4 in and of itself is a good format and more efficient than many others. You can use some third party software on a PC and compress the file further (same format) without appreciable loss in quality.

Edit: Keep in mind that even with further compression, at 720p it will still be a large file. You could always reduce the resolution and ratios and create a relatively small file suitable for viewing on your phone, but not so much on a large display

For a panorama, hold the phone vertically (like you were making a call) and sloooowly move it to line up with those boxes on the screen.

1080p is a bigger video at higher quality. 720p at 60fps increases the frames recorded for smoother video that can be slowed down in the editor to slow motion.

You can always use "Advanced Camera " app from BlackBerry World. I've taken many pics and videos at a bunch of different sizes for each. 4 video and 8 picture sizes.
