Folks, Thought I'd try starting a thread on this, as several have reported a perceived problem, which I noticed right away after updating to the new leak.

As per numerous other members, I thought that the volume of notifications had decreased, post update to 10.3.0.1052. The new OS is amazing, so I'm not about to go back to 10.2.1.xxxx.

The volume of notifications, however, is a big deal to me, as I am often in a very noisy environment, both at work and at home.

I think I may be made a breakthrough in this, but I think that gathering of empirical data on the matter is essential. Here are the vital specs of my BlackBerry :

    Z10 STL100-2

    S/N: 0733-8493-4051

    Software Release: 10.3.0.675

    Installed by: Security Wipe, Autoloader

Try this :Go to Settings -> Notifications, set Mode = Normal, then Set Volume = Max, set Sound = Off, set Sound = On, set Volume = Min, set Sound = Off, set Sound = On, set volume = Max; and try again.

I could swear that it has improved matters on my STL100-2 re notification volume, but I am not about to start messing about, restoring from scratch. Discuss...

I noticed that my emails were somehow set to Silent after a restore that did not have them set that way. Once I manually switched them all back on, I haven't had anymore issues.

After a fresh install email sounds have always been off by default. I've always had to manually enable em

Same problem as OP with SQN-3. Used the autoloader and didn't restore.

Was having notification become silent randomly. I never enabled flip to mute

I tried toggling flip to mute and the problem came back

I've since went into notifications and toggled sound & vibrate, then changed the profile from normal > all alerts off > vibrate > normal

    Haven't seen the problem since

I think it is Z10 STL devices problem, mostly. No issue volume issues on my Z30. Sound very loud ))

Anyone notice that when you preview a tone, it's actually louder than when it's set? I'm also on a Q.

Yes, I've noticed this on my Q10SQN100-5/10.3.0.1052. I did multi-wipe, autoloader, restore. Settings and tones were correctly restored, but the volume is off. My tones are mostly mp3 files, not tones that come with the new OS. I don't know if that's a factor.
