Do any of the leaks support tmo's wifi calling?

I'd like to move up to 10.2 before TMO does their official release (who knows when that'll happen) but since I use wifi calling I'd like to know if anyone has had success getting wifi calling to work on a 10.2 leak.

You will not have Wifi calling on ANY 10.2 until T-Mobile releases their own version of 10.2 - the IMS interface is proprietary to T-Mobile. There are some leaks that may work with the 811 radio but the appear to work only with a Z10 and not the Q10.

I tried the 811 radio on my Z10 with 10.2.0.1767 and wifi calls are awful! screechy and scratchy. My stock Q10 with TMO release OS works great!

Likewise here - I'm staying on 10.1.4200 (official T-Mobile release) until TMO releases their version of 10.2!

...or until a leak comes out that has a better radio for wifi calling... I'm in the same boat; stuck on 10.1 until such an leak exists.

Anyone here thought of using Google Voice as a substitute for WiFi calling- getting a number is free for the basic stuff. If it would work, one of the better 10.2 leaks could be installed, say 10.2.0.1791 and we might have the best of both worlds without waiting for TMO?

Docfreed - the elegance of UMA/"Wifi Calling" is that you get to keep and use just a single phone number for voice calling, and send & receive texts through it, without all the tedious mucking-about required for google-voice.

I have been awaiting this release for WAY too long, myself...!

Yes, I totally agree (although it's IMS and not UMA - the latter is hardware based and not available in BB10) - I'm just looking at as a stopgap since we don't know when or even if, TMO will release a 10.2 with WiFi calling. They are downplaying Blackberry, have removed all stock from their corporate stores (making you order online to get one and I would not be surprised to see them discontinue selling BB's (although they may still offer device support for a while.
BTW, Verizon just announced the Z30 (as an exclusive?) and so I do not expect to see a Z30 at TMO for at least 6 months

It doesn't work that well. You can receive calls through G Voice but I cannot invoke the phone app to dial out through GV.

Yes you can. Use https://simonics.com/gvgw/ to get SIP credentials for your Google Voice account and then use Bria or another SIP app to make outgoing calls. Been doing this for a month without issue.

Are you using a Z or a Q. On the Q the latest 10.2 you can use is

    Q10SQN100-5/10.2.0.483

While using one of the 10.1 radios. It works perfectly for me. I have been having some problems with the official 10.1 wifi calling. Kept getting the Reg99 error. Not anymore.

There is no 811 radio for the Q10 which is why I'm on such an old os. I'm on the 4544 radio.

I do have the wifi calling app but the option to wifi calling off is greyed out. But it works perfect for me. Don't have any audio problems.

You're right - there's no 811 radio for the Q so I see that your using the radio from 10.1.0.4543 with 10.2.0.483. Is this a hybrid by any chance or did you autoload the radio on top of the OS? Also, did you try to sideload the T-Mobile WiFi calling app originally posted by Hatax or from app world?

First I loaded the BlackBerry development build. Then .483 and sideloaded a bunch of bars. Then I autoloaded the radio on top separately and sideloaded the hatax wifi calling app.

I'll get the specific numbers in a few minutes so you can find them.

For the record I had no signal while at the airport the other day, and connecting to the airports wifi I was able to call over wifi.

But just to be clear the call was assisted through wifi calling not actually placed through wifi calling. So the feature only gave me a boast in signal...but bit did not let me call over wifi.

I think you're confused. You either make a call using the network or over wifi. There is no inbetween.

I can confirm that TMobile WiFi calling does not work on 10.2.1.1055 even though a notice pops up during the initialization process that leads you to believe it will.
