There is an exploit in android 2.3.3 which you can use to extract the apk of that app (and re-convert to bar later), However this will not backup the data afaik.

The /data/app folder (where .apk files are stored post install) has permission bits as drwxrwx--x. Because of the execute permission bit, if you know the exact path of the file (directory listing cannot be obtained due to missing r bit) you can read/copy it. Now using the android package manager (pm), we can obtain the package identifier of any app and determine it's apk's path under /data/app.

There are already a few applications which will help you with this exploit without any programming knowledge. Try sideloading openfilemanager which uses this very exploit to backup application apk(s). (I've tested it already on my device and it works without debug tokens).

If you really want to use the dev beta you should use my autoloader with the radio from. 92. I also include a zip file of the bars you need to side load to get back to a functional Os http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=823707

I am downloading the 10.2 Dev Beta off blackberry site, is this usable?

    Dave,
If you are a developer, that version is very usable to test your apps on...

Quick question. Does BB Link backup Android Side-loaded apps as well? If not, how would I extract the sideloaded .bar off my z10 as I have an important paid app on there.
Sideload an android utility app. They usually have a back up app to sd feature

25xx? Criminy. Or are they doing a jump like .273 to .2014?

No you don't .341 is not the Developers Beta build
You seem to be getting everything wrong, yet you accuse people wrongly when they are right. That was how you accused me of giving wrong info about installing black theme calendar on Z10, you even went as far as sending me PM to stop giving wrong info, even though I was right.

The fact remains that, when a black theme calendar is installed on Z10, the result will always be a white theme calendar, and not black. Always get your facts right before accusing others.

The jump might be on the outside - they could very well have gone through all those builds internally.

Would be great if someone did create a "sideloaded app" backup - better yet if BBRY added it to LINK.

One reason I have slowed down on installing leaks, is not wanting to loose saved info for sideloaded apps.

Same here, It's quite frustrating so if the apps require debug tokens.

Just make sure that you reinstall your sideloaded apps BEFORE starting the restore process, my application data for sideloaded android apps has always come back when I do it this way.

Okay maybe I will wait for 10.2.0.4** when it is leaked. Would you recommend 10.2.0.93 to start?
Don't know that I could recommend it. I've gone back to 10.1.0.4537. I found the 10.2.0.93 buggy and laggy in comparison to the later leaks of 10.1. Twitter had the annoyance for shutting down and would ask for you user name and password erratically. Hyperlinks bedded with apps would not open and freeze up the browser and the requesting app. Just to name a couple of problems that I saw.

All of the 10.1 leaks that I have installed have work very well.
