I guess it's like iOS, that the old devices will not be left out BUT the performance will take a hit. For example, you can update iPhone 4 with iOS 7 (which I did for my uncle) and it works fine but it is laggy as expected. If 10.3 is released and is available for low-end devices such as the Q5, there should be no complaining that 10.3 has made it laggy, it's expected to become laggy. New OS' require better specs. Those are my thoughts.
From what I understand, performance on Z10 and Q10 and Z30 should still be superb. Now, the lower end devices like Jakarta, Q5, etc may not run as well, but we'll have to wait and see.

And, most of the spotted 10.2.2.5xx or other 3 digit version numbers more than likely won't make it to prod
In the past we got them from sources, never directly on the cse servers
Usually it starts hitting the servers around 10.2.2.1xxx
On a side note, 10.2.1.2273 has certification but hasn't shown up on servers. Feel free to check those, but it's been a week, so I'm beginning to doubt if they'll show up

Yeah, 2273 and 2758 are ones that should exist (PTCRB/simulator) but don't.

It's an example. This could be like an aptitude test, see if people are able to read an entire post lol

I believe most of us here on crackberry know how to get those links, where they come from and what to do with them. I just don't think its cool to post links that knowingly don't go anywhere.

This sparks my curiosity regarding the branches. If 10.3 is really more demanding, do you think we'd end up in this PlayBook scenario again.. at least for the Q5 and Z3 ?? (which is why 10.2.2 was created)

They have always worked on OSes in different branches. Remember the 10.1MR and 10.2 was worked on at the same time.
The last time I talked to my BB contact, he did confirm that 10.3 was going to be released in October, most likely with Ontario. This more than likely means that we will get our hands on a semi-decent OS by late June, early July
However, he did also say that Jakarta (late April), and other low end devices that may come before then will have 10.2.1MR/10.2.2. There will not be major changes to current 10.2.1, though he did assure me 10.3 will be packed with awesome features.
As far as plans in BB goes, all current BB10 devices will get updates even after 10.3, supposedly to either QNX10 or QNX11 etc. Essentially the OS will be rebranded so licensing is a possibility, though this step has not been initiated yet.
Ontario being the all-touch device (successor) to the Z30?

Its pretty easy what 10.2.2 is for: New smaller features and improvements.
And 10.3 is the prototype for the new design and big new features.

I would absolutely love this. I work all day in front of a PC, that would be really useful.

Your sources are reliable? And do you know if it will be for everyone or just BES?

It works with both the Personal Space and Work Space. It "Blends" the mail accounts of both in to one UI like the Hub does, so yes it will work without BES10/12.

So I've heard. A source has seen it working on a colleague's computer. Basically having your phone on your desktop like Bridge but better. Apparently it works over wired connection or wifi.

Dunno about Dashboard, though. Hopefully rumours about that being a web based type of thing are true.

It's not browser based. It needs client software to be installed on the computer and Link must also be installed.

Even the Dashboard? My source says Fuse and Dashboard are two different things. And usually Dashboards, in a general sense, pull user-defined information. What i've gathered is that FUSE is actually the connection between the computer and the BB devices (think Link software add-on), No idea what Chatblend is, and I would guess Dashboard is some online cloud-type service that allows BB users to access the hub and other info through a browser when the device has an internet connection. As for Chatblend, I'm hoping it merges BBM and text messages into one conversation like on OS7 or how iMessage works.
