Wow, in the face of announcements calling for the end of leaks, we see a flood of them. Interesting.

Sorry to keep harping on this but software released by BlackBerry publicly on BlackBerry servers, which this version was, is not a "leak".
    https://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...4144916AAlOECt

10.3 was a Leak as it was not intended for the public and someone had to use alternate methods to get it to the public.

Must confirm that the 10.2.1.2229 radio is much better for battery life.

OK this has probably been answered in this thread, but can someone PLEASE let me know if I can just download this via the Sachesi (using the following information: Z3 STJ100-1 510 010 10.2.1.2788 10.2.1.2947), and then just sideload a working radio file from somewhere in this thread? Is that all that's needed to get this up and running?

Really don't want to go through an autoloader again, takes too much time and hassle...

Because this OS is for the Z3, originally.

Yes. Just make sure to delete the Z3 radio (qc8930.wtr5) and replace it with whichever radio you need. I recommend 10.2.1.2229 for your device.

It would be great if someone could post a short video to show us how to extract the radios using sachesi or anything else; And how to convert them to auto loaders or bar files (*cough, cough*) at Blackberry.com. I would do it, but I am so confused over the whole process and had to ask for help Thanks again to Thurask for the help!

Thanks! Do I delete and replace the radio file in Sachesi itself, or let it load the OS and then sideload the radio (2229) afterwards?

    See this:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...achesi-904841/

and then this for the codes you need to enter to download the OS:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...nloads-920390/

The 2229 radio file should be somewhere in this thread, just use the search thread tool. Waiting on an answer regarding when to replace the radio file (within the Sachesi program itself or after installation), but that's more or less it I think. Pretty simple process.

Download 10.2.1.2947 with Sachesi, delete the Z3 radio and replace it with the other radio.

Have you tried using Sachesi for back up and restore of app data and settings? It works really well.
I haven't but I will give that a try next time for sure.

Ok I'm used to using Mega to install these. So what I'm reading is this isn't the same thing and if I try to download it and do it the same way as using winzip7 it won't work and I won't have a radio file ? or is there one that I can do the same way ??

I noticed when I hit the NEXT button really fast, it looks like a video ON a not so silly note, running .2947 with .2229 radio and 10.3 browser for three days now with amazing results! I'm loving this update.

I've used all of the latest 10.2.1.x OS that I've seen here. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Some folks have said that their power consumption is better with 2156 or 2160 than with 2947, but others say that 2947 is the best they've used. As always, your experience could be different.

I've been very happy with 2947, although I've not seen a difference between 2947 and the 2160 it replaced on both my Q10 and Z10. 2160 was great too. Perhaps that's because 2947 was packaged with the 2235 radio from 2160. Again, the 2229 radio from 2156 reportedly works with 2947 as well. The great thing here is that if you don't like how your Q10 works with whatever OS/radio you load, you can just load another (like your 2102) and restore from your backup.

Real quick question (probably a dumb one). I just did a fresh install of 2947 after backing up Verizon's latest OS update (z30). What is the easiest way to restore my previous apps/settings? Can I do a full restore??...will that just restore all settings/apps etc without resetting the actual radio/OS update?? Much appreciated in advance. I'm a hardcore Android guy and can tell you anything and everything you need to know about that, but starting over here with BB10...haha
