You could try 2229 via Sachesi first.

    Hey Thurask,

So is there a radio for the Z30?

    Posted via CB10
There is no 2948 radio that isn't for the Z3. To use this on a Z30 (or Q10 or Q5 or STL100-2/3 or STL100-4) would require a 10.2.1.21xx/22xx radio.

In the past, people sometimes had problems loading radios onto their devices with autoloaders, which would essentially soft brick the device. The most common cause was loading the OS/radio with Sachesi first, then the new radio with the autoloader. Of course, one can never be 100% sure, but this really shouldn't affect your current install.

Now, since I've got nothing better to do, I tried loading the 2229 radio (with an autoloader) on my 2947/2235 install (also with an autoloader). No ill effects, it boots up fine.

It should, or, alternatively, you can try the STL100-4 radio autoloader.

Learned It the hard way few days ago when tried to load .1899 radio file where I forgot I updated via sachesi...

It get me red blinking LED, had to reload full OS.

Either you update with sachesi all the way, either autoloaders all the way...

Can somebody tell me where I can download 2229 radio file for Q10? I think I saw a link somewhere on this thread but wasn't sure if it was for Q10(?). My battery life isn't too good with this leak so I'm willing to try 2229 radio or whatever is available for Q10

    Thanks in advance.

Downloaded 2947 after backing up my stuff. I didn't notice any overt differences after I restored all my stuff. Everything got restored just fine. WiFi calling is still working. Aside from a higher number, no changes stands out. I'll see how long the battery lasts. Did the upgrade via an autoloader. Took a couple of hours which included having to re-link some of my contacts (addreses, email addresses and phone numbers all got split up). Hate when that happens, big waste of my time.

Tip for future: You can autoload CORE os and Radio and this will be non-destructive as well as debrick!
Never a reason to lose data.

To generate these links that Thurask posts, just use the latest version of Sachesi, go to Version lookup, type in the OS version (10.2.1.2229) and then Lookup. It should find the OS, then use 'Grab Links' and find the Radio link for the phone you use.

I used Sachesi to load the bar files from the OP for my STL100-4. Will it be ok to use this radio autoloader on top of that? Thanks!

I'm sorry to ask but, can I extract the autoloader to get the core os and radio as a bar file using sachesi? Whenever I tried to extract the autoloader, it only shows the apps but the radio and core os as bar files were missing. Thanks

It didn't say the OS was wonky, I said I couldn't afford to have my phone go wonky. That means any number of things not working correctly after the update, such as apps I have not liking it for random instance.

Yeah I have a bad habit of installing leaks right before leaving on trips. Needless stress really. Agree.

I think the 2229 radio bar was the best yet. I had it somewhere on the TeraDrive but can't seem to locate it anywhere and I want to add it to this OS.

I read this after I had already posted. I will give this a try but in the mean time if someone had the STL100-3 OS 2229 radio bar and could do a quick download post I would like to get it loaded till I try the above method.

I would like to know how to get signed bars. How to build Autoloader with all of the signed bars (all the apps. Radio & OS) in one Autoloader. How to build a destructive loader and better yet non-destructive. I have read everything in the forums but the posted info is so vague I can't seem to wrap my mind around what to exactly do.
I wish someone that knows all that would start a thread on that subject and help the ones that would like to learn (like myself) how to do so. Thanks.. it can't be rocket science.. :-)

I can do that if I find an hour or so later this day...right now I am busy
Yes, it is not rocket science and all you need is Sachesi and Darcys Tools

EDIT: but there is NO way to build an autoloader including .bars from scratch....only BB can build autoloaders including Core OS + radio + all apps! We can just build autoloaders including Core OS / radio / both of them...or take the given OS signed file from BB and attach other radios to

you can split autoloader within the 'Extract' tab in Sachesi...you will get 2 signed files:
    - the OS (including Core OS + all apps) --> named '10.2.1.2947_Z30-OS.1.signed' in this case extracting the Z30 autoloader
    - the radio file --> named '10.2.1.2947_Z30-Radio.0.signed' in this case extracting the Z30 autoloader

Sidenote: you can also use Darcys Tool for splitting, just fyi...http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...upport-917597/

You can now build a non-destructive autoloader for the radio only using the signed file radio you got with above step, either using Darcys Tool (easiest way, cause you do not have to use command line for executing cap.exe) or the method described by thurask here directly using cap.exe with command line: http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...rchive-833333/

You can build non-destructive autoloader for Core OS, but you need the Core OS as a signed file first. You can grab Core OS as bar file from Sachesi (or download directly: http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar), just extract it (using WinRAR or similar) and you get the signed file for Core OS. Using this Core OS signed file building an autoloader from will be non-destrcuctive!!! When you build an autoloader just using the complete OS signed file, it will be destructive.....

If you want, you can further extract the OS by using the 'Extract Apps' button within 'Extract'. This will give you all the .bars (apps) for easily sideloading them, but NOT the Core OS as a bar file
