What is "this"? Did you sideload 10.2.1.1055 and if so, how?

Maybe I just can't read the small print on the CB app on my Z10.

This has probably been answered already but what if any Google apps (eg YouTube, maps, plus, drive, etc.) work?

Is there any way to downgrade the Android Runtime to, say, 10.2.0.1803's to see if the obb data failure and some Android app failures are corrected with that? I've seen in various 1055 threads that it seems the new 1055 unlocked Runtime is causing these issues. Could be a work-around until 1184 or later is leaked next, no?

But you did take the Google services framework id? Some took the android id, which will not work.
I'd say reinstall snap and if it doesn't work, then try another android device with android 4.2.2

    Posted via CB10
Yes I downloaded the gsf id not the android id, I just downloaded snap chat fine but none of those other apps worked. I will try to reload snap and then I'll use a different device

OK--I DLed the file and see what's in the directory.

I'm asking these questions out of ignorance--I am not challenging you, just confused.

Are these signed files side-loadable bar files, say from Sachesi? Are they destructive or non-destructive OS files, that is, does the executable Windows program that loads them do what an autoloader does, or does it side load the OS non-destructively? Are they for STL100-2-3? How are they different from what is in the autoloader for 1055? You say they eliminate some or all the bugs in the 1055 everyone here has been using? How is that possible if it is the same OS?

Any detailed explanation would be much appreciated. Thank you.

From the file name, I can see that these are signed files (i.e. autoloader starting material) and that they're for STL100-2/3.

They should be exactly the same as the 10.2.1.1055 for STL100-2/3 that's already been released.

I just tried to use a Nexus 4 device id from genymotion, but had no luck. The number of apps I could load were less than with the galaxy nexus id. Strange..

I was under the (mis?)impression that signed files could be side loaded non-destructively. Not true? (I know that the radio file can always be autoloaded non-destructively, but not the OS.) And if the OS file cannot be side loaded and if these are identical to what's in our autoloader, what is the point of them? Just another autoloader, in effect? And how could they resolve the bugs that we have in the autoloader 1055?

Am I making a mountain out of a molehill, here? :-)

Not sure what the point of that is, either. Although the cfp executable might be intriguing, as it's cap.exe with superpowers.

Maybe CyBeRCR0W will provide an explanation, particularly as to whether this is a destructive or non-destructive upgrade.

    1. Download the OS+Radio file for your device. Unzip it (you may have to download 7zip extractor, depending on what link you clicked on).

    2. Perform a full backup of your phone with BlackBerry Link. Once the backup is complete, close Link.

    3. Turn on Flight Mode on your phone so you don't get any incoming calls, etc.

    4. Using a Windows computer, plug your phone into the computer and run the autoloader (.exe) file. Enter your password when it prompts and let it finish (don't unplug it).

    5. Turn on your phone and check if you can sign into your accounts in Settings ( a common problem). If the page won't load, run the autoloader again. Otherwise,

    6. Restore your backup using BlackBerry Link. If problems occur, you can perform a security wipe (in Settings) and start fresh without restoring. Most bugs are minor.

If you ever want to move back to the official OS, you can do so by shutting off your phone, plugging it into your computer, then in Link restore the OS. Note that you won't be able to restore a backup from the newer OS.

Update to Windows 8.1 and/or plug the phone into a USB 2.0 port instead of a USB 3.0 port.
