I've tried and that's for dev bro. When it installed things such as music, picture or even video is missing. So I suggest you dont install it. But there is something cool when you reboot the device through 1057. It just like, your background will showing you a cool graphic while your device reboot. Wanna try?? Go ahead, be sure you will go back on 1055

Hey y'all. So I have a dev alpha A device, and yes i know blackberry stopped supporting it after the 10.0.1.263 leak, but this OS always hangs and hangs and hangs!!!!! I wanted to know if there was a way i could update it to one of the 10.0.2 leaks. . Is there anyway that I could get a more recent version that would work on my device? Please help!!

I've installed 10.2.1.1055 on my device but never did a security wipe before or after the installation.

What is the purpose of a security wipe? I saw a step by step in another thread on downloading and installing leaks and mentioned a security wipe before the installation.

Just curious if there is a difference if you perform a security wipe or not.

Try turning the phone off and then removing the battery for an hour. Used to happen to me on 10.2.0.

Or maybe I just don't notice on the 30.

PIM back on overdrive since yesterday. Heavy battery drain. Could this be due to 1055 leak? It's difficult to predict when I can get a 20+ hours battery life and when only 8 hours!!!! Pretty messed up OS.

The purpose of a security wipe is to help alleviate some people's paranoia. It makes no difference in terms of performance. The device is erased each time a leak is installed. The only thing a security wipe does is write a bunch of 1s and 0s to all the blocks of onboard memory, whereas erasing only removes the file addresses and/or changes the first few characters of the file headers. With the right access and software, data could still be recovered from an "erased" device. On a "wiped" device, it is virtually impossible to recover data.

Unless you plan on getting rid of the phone, there is zero reason to do a security wipe. The new install will overwrite most of the used blocks, anyway.

From the mighty Z10 thru the CB10!

Another huge disappointment with BlackBerry!!! After finally producing a device Z30 with decent battery life its now let down by the crappy PIM Services. No idea what triggers this or how to stop the damn thing but it drains the batter out fully and doesn't even stop after a restart or reset. From a 20+ hours to 8 hours max. I am getting really tired of trying BlackBerry solutions. If it's not the hardware its the software. When will BlackBerry get the whole thing right??????? Currently in the 1055 release and using the Z30 after binning the Z10. Please let me know if there are any solutions out there before the Z30 hits the bin as well.

No radio = no connection. It's what makes the phone a phone. Same for wi-fi.
